Every pretty boy must have a shrine~
This here is Kanda Yu (神田 ユウ), age 18, of Japanese descent. Due to a certain tattoo on his chest, he has extraodinary healing abilities, although there's a catch. He has a lotus blossom in an hourglass, and when that wilts, he dies with it. His purpose in life is to search for a certain someone, although whether that "someone" is friend or foe remains to be seen.
Kanda is one of the few exorcists that is invulnerable to the blood of Akuma, presumably due to this mysterious abilities.
Among his favorite foods are soba and tempura, and he claims to dislike sweets.

This here is Kanda's weapon; Mugen. It's name can mean either "Infinity" or "Six Illusions". Here, the kanji is written as "Six Illusions" [六幻], implying that it has 6 techniques. So far, three have been shown.
† Kaichū: Ichigen (界蟲「一幻) -- First Illusion: World of Insects
† Nigentou (二幻刀) -- Two Illusion Blades
‡ Hakka Tourou (八花蟷螂) -- Eight Flowers Praying Mantis
‡ Shouka (昇華) Sublimate
† Kinki Sangenshiki (禁忌 三幻式) -- Taboo Three Illusions

Actually... I sort of like him. I mean, he's okay. So far, only volumes 1-5 of the manga are out in the US, and I don't get cable or satellite so... yeah. And you don't really see much of him in the manga so far.
But he's pretty cool. ^^

i really like Kanda, i've read up to vol 10 and i really like himthroughout the series. although i want to know more about the 'someone' and the flower in the glass, i get what it does, but how did he get it? anyone know?

Kanda is the smex, I mean hes so bad a**...! x3 I dont know why theres not alot of fans but as I say the less the better, so I can hog him all to myself~! >:D xDD;; Lol, Well I find Kanda cool in many ways, not just the fact that hes strong and mighty...not to metion freakin hot, but I like his plot in the story line... I'm wondering who "That person" is.... Better not be a female~! D< RAAAAWR~ x3 I'll be posting here alot~ <3

Kanda is like so wicked~ <3 I wanna know about his GODAMNED Past! D: I wonder if they'll ever make a part in the manga that revolves around Kanda and his past! How did he get that Lotus tatto and whos his person... Dx;; -Frustrated- Well, Saves me the great deal with Fandom~ <3 xD;;
