Yeah, so a cold sore shows up out of nowhere on my bottom lip last night. Dangit, I hate these things! I know one of these days I'm gonna accidentally pass it on to my fiance. He treats me like the plague when I have a cold sore. (Can't say I blame him though.) xp
Oh, and my apologies for not being around lately. Life's being a hectic b***h at the moment.

I hate them too. Cold sores really suck especially if you get one before picture which really sucks.

I hate cold sores. Good thing I don't get them as often. Someone told me that sometimes they come out, out of nowhere when you're stressed out. Kinda like pimples for some ppl. LOL

LOL That's right. cold sores are caused be by a virus (almost identical to the herpes virus) that never leaves your system. Ushally the virus is too weak though to couse havoc, but when things like stress break down the imune system the virus gets to act up a little and cause the sore.

Actually, cold sores are a herpes virus, just not the same kind as genital herpes. Cold sores on the mouth/lips are type 1 herpes, and sores on the *ahem* privates are type 2 herpes.
But before you panic, here's the kicker...apparently 90% of the population has a form of herpes, just not all people show the symptoms. Weird, huh?

Yeah, a lot of people get it as young children. I just find it hilarous that it's so widespread and yet they can't come up with a cure for it. Of course it is viral so I guess it's like curing the common cold.
