I thought it would be fun to have a forum dedicated to commenting on how great/crappy/whatever the monthly items are. It seems like one of those topics on gaia that, well, pretty much everyone can participate in and enjoy.

The new items may be lacking in the "WOW" factor, but they're actually nice items. The mermaid thing is a great base for gaians to work off of, the eyes are great little details that can be added to an avatar to get it just the right fit, and having a larger variety in weapons on gaia is never a bad thing. They're nicely designed items which only contribute to the gaian creativity possability. Kudos to the designers for a job well done.

At first glance the new items weren't too exciting. Once I previewed them though, I really wanted them. Not ever pose is my cup of tea, but then that's usually the case with the MCs. The only real down side is that there're probably going to be quite a few nine tails running around for a bit, not to mention some naruto fanatics going nuts (I wonder how the mask layers with the ninja headband...) If there isn't already a Shinobi fox demon guild, there will be. I especially like Yurei's Robes. They might look good with kaguyas celestial robe, which is so hard to match with anything and not look dumb.
As for the Demonic Anklets, The nightmare shakle pose and the batstache are dumb in my opinion, but I like everything else! I geuss I'd probably never wear the mask, but it's not bad, just...overly dramatic. The nightmare wing kind of looks like it's hitched on the butt, but that might depend on the cloths the avatar is wearing. I can't wait to tektek these items!

Love, love, love the new items! I'm already tekteking the more obvious possabilities of the zodiac. Of course Halos are always a winner on gaia, and I'm already thinking of a tektek character group designed around the halos. The clouds are fun too, though I doubt those will ever be on my quest list. But seriusly, the zodiac items are great addition items for some great avatar themes. The pisces fish for the mermaid outfit, Virgo's crown for the Elegant garb, and the masks are a great addition to several things, right off the top of my head. I especially like the horns of Aries, and the bow and quiver of saggitarious is actually something I've been wanting for a while. Still not certain what I would do with the Scale of Libra, but it's cool looking.

This month's items are fun. The mecha form is appropriate given the resent release of Tranformers in theaters. What a great way to suport movie fandom. I like the fire flower, it's very pretty. I can't wait to see how many people equip the vocano head xd . I really like the enchanted strings, and might get one, in suport of gaia, of course. I'll have to do some tekteking to make my final desision, but all the items are really neat.

Well, this obviously hasn't been updated in a bit. The current items are for august 2008. The Lusty scoudrel is entertaining to say the least, and a bit over the top actually. It's fun, so I geuss that what's important, but it's not something I'd go out of my way to get. As for the War of the Warlords item, it's cool to have some more armor, but it just seems like something that should be a shop item. Now that I think of it though, were any of the previous armor items shop, or were they all special? Well anyway, the armor is a nice addition probably, but I'm not really impressed.
