Yes, as the topic says. ^^ I've gotten a bit to much muscle and I want to only be toned and I dont know how to do that. sweatdrop I mean, do I just instead of doing excercises only take walks everyday? I know if you dont do as much my muscle will turn to fat, is that true? If so, how do I become toned without that happening. confused heart

To start off with, muscle can not turn to fat. What happens in that case, when people stop exercising or cut it down, they continue to eat the same amount of food rather then cutting that down too.

So basically their muscle tone disappears while the fat stores increase due to the excess calories not being burnt away. To prevent it, lower your caloric intake while decreasing the exercise.

To loose muscle bulk, I have a problem with that too. One thing that I have found works to a degree is stretching - so whether it is normal stretching or doing yoga - and done regularly, like after every exercise session for around 20 min holding each stretch for a minimum of 30 seconds.

Another that I have found works, is cross training.

With doing only karate or only running, my muscles were getting bigger and bigger. Once I started doing a variety of things (at the moment I am doing karate, cycling and gymnastics), my muscles are not as bulky as they usually would be because I'm not using the one group of muscles over and over and only working on them.

Hope that helps

You'll want to do a lot of cardio and aerobics first, like running, dance, light weight training, cycling, swimming, etc. A lot of people start out with lifting heavy weights, which will make the muscle build up underneath the fat and make one appear bigger than they were before, which makes a lot of people think their exercise is having an adverse effect on their body and making them fatter instead of leaner. Leave the higher impact exercises for later x3 Unless you're already skinnier and only need to tone up.
