so we've all heard them: sweet as honey, red like the rose, strong as a bull, ect ect ect.

the point is, that while these are so cliche'd that it hurts, they are cliches because they work, and because they work, at some point you'll want to use one, but not want the cliche killing your work. so what else is there?
