There are two types of HLV (human living vampire)
There are the Sangunarians who feed from blood and the Psychic who feed off energy. If you need energy in one of those two forms or both you might be one.

The ones in the movies/Anne Rice books are NOT REAL in this plane of existence.

It won't kill you; you'll just vomit. Blood is an emetic.

Sanguinarians are NOT just fetishists. They need energy just like Psys/Psi. They get their energy from the blood they take. They need to feed once or twice a month depending on the individual, need only a shot glass - quarter or half pint of blood. Sanguis can substitute blood feeding with Psi feeding, but I've read that they sometimes can completely subsititute it. Sangs don't 'just do it' for anything. They have an energy deficiency just like Psi vamps. They can feed on animal blood (beef is usually best, and safest), as well as human. But human seems to have a more lasting affect, perhaps a more stable lifeforce energy.

Psi vamps are as explained above (by other posters). Psys can feed right off auras of peope, animals, plants, and also feed on elemental things such as nature, thunderstorms, etc. They can also (and my favorite) feed astrally. Either on astral entities, or dreamwalking to a person and feeding right off their astral body. They will feed on the 'blood essence' or astral blood, and often times will wake up to the taste of blood in their mouth. Usually indicating that it was indeed ingested.

But I don't see why anyone would want to be a vampire. Its not very glamorous. Its starvation. Its not being able to eat or drink certain foods because your body rejects it, especially when you really need to feed. Its having screaming lights give you a headache - the lights seem brighter than the average person, or when you are 'properly fed'. And therefore hurt more. For many the need to feed, the hunger, can be painful. Especially because most of us can't seem to get what they need. Those who are sanguines especially. It is mentally, and spiritually painful, as well as physically. It is a duality of nature. One minute you are happy and fed, the next you are depressed, aching, and hungry.

Ageless do supposedly exist, but I wouldn't want to elaborate on the subject. Sanura and Darkwander are the better ones to interview on the subject. But the act of turning is generally taboo. And no snot nosed little 14 year old kid will ever get an Ageless to turn them - only to offered up as a snack. They just won't do it. There is no reason too, and its a liability. I've read that the actual transformation process can take months, and most can't handle it.

well, why do you wanna be one?. . XDDD. . I mean, having to feed off of others and not being able to sustain or be happy with your own energy is probably not the best thing in the world. .

My iPod pretty much dies within a day. A days length.

And I've noticed.. if the battery sign is red and low, and I put it on my bed or table away from my hands it goes back to green, having alittle more charge than by me..
