A series based on the life of Raistlin Majere, Magus of the Black Robes.
Does anyone kmow if Book 3 was ever released?

Is this separate from Soulforge and Brothers in Arms?
He is my favorite character to read, so if there is a separate series dedicated to him I am certainly interested.

Soulforge is Book 1, Brothers in Arms is Book 2. The paperback versions list them as "The Raistlin Chronicles"
I know there were plans for a book 3 and I've been watching Amazon.com and a few other book sites for a release date, but no luck yet.

I'm almost entirely sure that there was never a third book, probably because the series wasn't popular enough, which really disappointed me, as it was a good series.

I completely agree with you. Raistlin is one of my favourite characters from Dragonlance and I thought it was a great concept to have a series about his life history.
I find this news rather disappointing that there might not be a third book, but it's not completely unexpected. Dragonlance doesn't have the popularity in North America as Forgotten Realms does.

er...... you could check wikipedia or google it and look it up it coudl jsut be long in the making or the auther could of died like Roger Zalazny and his merlin's seriers which only needed 150 more pages for you to find out the end i'm sad now =[

Wait...I thought that after those two books came the Legends Series (Time of Twins...etc)
I guess a third book could have been fit between though.

The second book was their first mercenary jobs. The next book was supposed to be after that. I don't have much info on it unfortunately. Just that there was supposed to be another.
