So, what's this all about you ask? Well, people like to show off guilds that they're
proud to be a member of. They place links in places like their signatures, profile,
or journal. An increasingly popular method of this is known as a "Guild ID" which
is much more personal than a simple, generic guild banner.
Here's a little FAQ to help answer any questions you may or may not have: Why'd you start making these?
Well, when I joined, I saw that the original official guild ID thread was quite
dead. Apparently their photoshop guy got lost in Dracula's Castle. I figured
that for the people who wanted an ID but couldn't get one, I could make my
own version of an ID until they rescued the other guy or found someone else.
I was then offered the chance to take the whole nine yards over. (:
Will you be making anything different?
Yes, I hope to. Especially the styles for people's names. All the current pre
made bases and custom bases are made in the same style. I plan to
eventually make different versions of IDs to suit more people's tastes.
How can I customize my ID?
Read the following sections. xD
Is there a limitation to the type/amount of text I can add?
Yes. The IDs are only so big, and I can only make the text so small before
it becomes hard on the eyes. However, you are not limited to roman
characters. If your favorite song is from one of the JP-only games, so
the official title of the song is in Japanese, I can add that to your profile.
What if I only know it's romaji and want it in kana, or only have an image?
No problem! If you know the romaji, I'll type up the kana myself, or if you
only have an image of say, the back of the CD where the songs are listed,
I can read the name from there and type it up myself. (:
Okay! I've decided on what I want! How much does it cost for an ID?
My IDs won't cost you a thing. (: Except for your soul which will belong to me.
What if I have a question not here?
Feel free to ask. I don't mind. (: So, you've decided that you want an ID. Where do you go from here? Just make
a post in this thread telling me what you want. Following these steps will help be
to better understand your request and to get it right on the first try:For a Pre-MadeBase:
Pick which of the bases in the next post you want. If you'd like that base
in a different color, perhaps to better match your avi, make note of it.
If you want to use a different avatar than the one you have at the time of
me seeing your request, make sure you link an image of it so I know.
Also note that unless you tell me otherwise, I'll position your avatar in
the box as I see fit. I'll try to incorperate what -I- think should be seen.
This may differ from your opinion.
Choose which add-on you'd like. I don't suggest not having ANYTHING
there since that's too much dead space at the bottom of the ID. Though,
you may request something new. My creativity ran away so I don't know
what other things to pre-design myself. D:
Post your order here in this thread, and wait patiently. Currently I don't
have a stable internet connection, but once I get my router back
everything should be fine. However, if you feel that I haven't noticed
your order [if it doesn't appear on the On-Que list, that's a good indication]
or you feel that I have forgotten about you [I have terrible short-term
memory] then you may PM me a non-threatening reminder and I'll get
right to it! (:
For a Custom Base:
Pick the character you want to appear on your ID. If there is any
particular artwork you'd like to see on it, please link me a copy in
case I don't know what you're talking about. If not, I'll find images
that -I- think would work well on the base.
Choose a color or two you'd like on the base. I'll try my best to
make those colors look good on the base. Don't request hex codes
because in the way I make the IDs the hex code I put in for a layer
will not look like that hex code when you view all the layers together
because the color layer multiplies ontop of a grey and white BG
image I made for this current style of ID. [Note: more types of IDs
will become available once I need to do it, but for now this is all
that I'm offering. Don't complain, it's free for you. xDD]
If there isn't a particular avi background image [found in the box]
that you want used, I'll find one either from a game the character you
requested is in, or one I think will match the rest of the ID.
Choose what add-on you want from the list. Feel free to request
something new. I don't have more there because my brain died.

Requests:
Come up with a new base, style, add-on, or whatever for me to do.
Post the idea in this tread and I'll see it when I check the guild next.
If I decide to go ahead and make your idea [which I probably will
because I'm nice like that], it'll be available for anyone to choose.
If you want something changed [probably the color] you can request
an alteration to it when you order your ID. Alterations will be done to
your ID only and not added to the list because anyone can request it.
For example, if you request I make a new base, and I make it but you
do not like the color, then just tell me what color you want and yours
will look like that, but the original base posted will be the same. (:

Thread Update: 3:30pm GMT negative 3.5 hours
I changed all the example IDs, since they all had the name Ariadyne
on them, which may make people think "Hey, who is this Ariadyne
person, and why do they have so many IDs?" For those curious,
Ariadyne was my Gaia username from 2004 - 2008. (:
So, all the examples reflect my new username, and use my current
avatars, so that people who didn't know me before would recognize
them. xD

I have not been around in like...a year or so. I left Gaia for awhile
there, but I'm back now! I've erased the old que, and will not be
going through the pages for ID requests, since I don't know who
is still here, and who still wants their IDs.

Yes you can post now, I've had the posts I needed hoarded up
since this time yesterday. xDD And it's not too late, I've been
focusing my time on finishing this thread [I think I only have
one section left now? The about section], and then I'm starting
on the things I have onque. And yes, of course, I can use that
image in the base. (:
By the way, what sort of thing did you want added to the bottom
of the ID? Or did you just want it plain?
EDIT: Actually I just had an idea, though it won't leave any
room to have an add-on at the bottom. I'll se how it turns out. :3

I'm not sure why, but I'm have a really hard time getting a
base ID made for iStoleYurVamps. I've tried 3 different ones
so far, and it's just not working out right. Perhaps I should
let it rest for a little while, and try it again a little later on?
Sorry about this taking so long. I think my ability to really
do anything right has been completely drained today. ):

Don't push yourself too hard, there are times where you really don't feel like doing any IDs and the request list keeps getting bigger and bigger, take a break here and there and try to limit yourself to 1-3 IDs per day.

Gee, this is really silly. As I was reading Taki Arika's last post, I must have read it to fast cuz I thought at first she said something like: "Mina turned out Awesome". I then began to look at the previous posts to see if there was a new one but, there wasn't. I guess I was kinda eager to see a new "Mina" ID, he-he... rolleyes

I actually think that Joachim one is my favorite so far. I like
the Isaac one too. They make Maria and Alucard look like
complete crap. I really need to remake Alucard's. It looks
retarded now that I think about it. I'll have to add a few
things to Maria's as well, I believe.
Well, now I have stuff to do for tomorrow. xDD Besides
paint the bathroom. I want to paint the wall tiles in a
checkered manner.

I think the Isaac one needs a a bit of better blending, sorta stands out and takes more attention off the avatar or the info. The others are pretty much fine, they're blended well and the character art doesn't stand out.
