Personally, after rereading HBP for the 3rd time I think he's evil. I hate to say it but it's what i'm concluding!
At first i thought the unknown argument between Snape and Dumbledore, that Hagrid overheard was Dumbledore convincing snape that if he has to kill him, then he should do it!
But now i think that the one line Snape says to Draco "where do you think i'd be if i couldn't act" when Harry is evesdropping, i think that says it all.
Also there is the whole Dumbledore thing about him begging for his life at the end. People say it's not in his character to beg for his life. I agree. BUT I don't think he was begging. I think he was realizing his HUGE mistake of ever trusting in Snape. REMEMBER, Dumbledore said that since he is cleverer than most men, then his mistakes seem to bigger as well!

An excellent point.
I really did not enjoy the fact that he may be begging for his life, seeing how out of character it was.
Then I remembered how clever JK Rowling is.
So I ruled out the fact that he could be begging for his life.
Perhaps he was begging Snape to act and follow through with the plans, no matter how hard that could be for him?
Or perhaps it is as you said... he was realising his mistake.
It could go either way!!! gonk

But deep down, i want him to be good. I'd hate to see Alan Rickman have to play a bad guy! lol But i'd like to see how he explains himself for killing Dumbledore to the Order if he is good, but will they take him back?? emo

I cried as well....
I HATE how the movies made Dumbledore look!
Eample: When Harry's name caut of the Goblet of Fire:

He became enraged and shook Harry demanding to know if he put his name in. i think he was nore scared then angry. Still i don't like him either. he's too closet evil. It's not just from the movies either. i just plain don't like the man. sweatdrop actully i like movie dumbles better then book dumbles. he's more with it and seems more...well more human i guess. like he actully has more then one emotion.
