Here's how my fiance proposed to me:
My fiance and I were on spring break and vacationing at the beach. We went for a walk on the beach at night, and I pointed out a ditch where the sand was caved in. He said later he would have proposed on the beach had I not mentioned that. (Apparently he thought I was trying to kill the romantic mood, when I really was trying to be suggestive in wanting to make out there.) So then we headed back to the hotel room, and were crossing a walkway that was indoors, but the sides of it was glass so we could see outside at the same time. He reached his arm around me while reaching in his pocket with the other. Then I head a "ping!" as metal hit the floor. Oops! A ring rolled on the floor, obviously not part of the plan. He dropped the fricking ring! He bent down to pick it up and while he was on the floor, tried to play it off by staying kneeled there and then asked me to marry him both in Spanish and English. My first reaction was, "Are you serious?" Then I said yes.
We still find it funny to this day how everything played out. But I wouldn't change a thing because it makes me laugh.
