I think it's unpassed as a shooter as of yet. A great game and deffenitly deserved game of the year.
The game is graphicly beautiful and it incorperates alot of new tech that makes it fun to play. And I love the over the sholder veiw the RE4 first incorperated.

The graphics look hyper real, the gameplay is alright. I think the reason it does so well it because gore sells. Personally.

I enjoyed playing it at a friend's house, but it's very hard to get used to and I don't like a 3rd person shooter. Not my favorite, but it is a great game.

The White Knight41 The game was pretty good, it was different from all the other adventure games. It's not really adventure genre, it's third person shooter. And I fail to see how it's really different from the other shooter games.

I Am Wingnut I enjoyed playing it at a friend's house, but it's very hard to get used to and I don't like a 3rd person shooter. Not my favorite, but it is a great game. I would have to agree with you, I personally don't like third-person shooter, or even first-person not on my PC, but I love this game. the gore DOES sell, but the graphics, definitely makes a difference as well. What I especially like about this game is the AI. When you actually play the game (not on Xbox live), you can set the game level to insane or something and it's a challenge to stay alive for even a little bit. They actually seem to be using a strategy at times, and they even flank you (successfully!). sad A must-have for every hardcore gamer. xD

It's stupid. That would be damn near impossible to aim, not to mention extremely unwieldy, and there's just so much wrong with it. It bugs me, and that's the only thing people really bring up about the game.

Meta Fish It's stupid. That would be damn near impossible to aim, not to mention extremely unwieldy, and there's just so much wrong with it. It bugs me, and that's the only thing people really bring up about the game. It's hard to aim mainly due to the fact that it's not a first-person shooter game, but then it's actually sometimes beneficial because it prolongs the time you spend trying to kill someone, and I find that just pumps up the adrenaline. It's more exciting for me than if I just aimed and shot someone down withing the first few seconds. It's a challenge that I don't mind doing. xD Although, sometimes I can't shoot for my life (sometimes... bah.. more like every day) and I get frustrated because the controls just kind of... don't work for me. *cry*

yeah i got my xbox last christmas and i only got gow along wiht it in a bundle and since then ive nevr got a new 360 game because i sorta knew they wouldnt be as good as gow
