I honestly dont pay too much attention to the ink. I was jumping from artist to artist before. until i found my current one. i know he uses high quality inks, so i could care less what it is.
I got that UV ink in me before i heard it was radioactive. haha.. ******** sweet.

I don't care about the ink so much as the place I ask them before i even think of getting anythign done there is they have an autoclave and how they clean their tools if its not satisfactory in my opinion, i walk out then i will never go to a place that uses dirty needles i make sure and watch them open the packets and all that stuff, ive been around that kind of stuff long enough that i can tell the difference I mean, ive worked with autoclaves and all that

Aw, organic/vegan tattooing is just a sales pitch. All the dyes are natural, and meat-free. There are a couple shops in portland that pull that and it's stupid.

Eh, my big thing is to actually see the autoclave. If a shop is so apathetic about their customers' wellbeing that they don't have one, and the artist puts so little pride into his/her craft, I wouldn't put it past them to lie about the fact.
Also, I know it's probably a pointless and fruitless ritual, but I actually bother to take my vitamins and stuff (esp. vitamin C) for several days before and after the tattoo. I figure if I'm going to have thousands of holes poked in my body, along with ink containing god alone knows what, I might as well try to do some small thing to balance the scales a bit.

We use all disposable equipment, so theres actually no possible chance for cross contamination since we're not reusing the same tubes over and over again smile
