Post any Questions you might have here. Please check the FAQ below first to see if the answer is not already there.

If you are having a problem with the guild or it's features/setup links, ect. post them here.

If you need to submit a complaint to a Crew/Mod member post them here as well unless you feel uncomfortable, for whatever reasons and then you can just request to Chat via pm with a Crew/Mod/Captain. They will post a reply so you know who to talk to, and so there is a record of it and the other crew know it has been dealt with.

Crew/Mod Members will try and respond asap to all posts, just be patient.

~ FAQ ~

-Q- I just joined the Guild, now what should I do?
-A- First go to the Welcome Topic and read the Guild Rules. Then look over and familiarize yourself with the topics and subforums of the guild in the Navigation post.
Your next step is to check out the format for posting your Profile. Your final step: Go to the Member Profiles. Create a New Topic for yourself. Setup and post # is up to you- just as long as you have the required information up, anything else you post is up to you. (Note: ALL member profiles must be NORMAL topics)
For quick reference, the Profile Format and Rules are posted in the Member Profiles Announcement topic.

-Q- How can I donate to the Guild and what does it go to?
-A- All donations for the guild are made on the Homepage. Just plug in the amount and your password- it is just like buying something at the marketplace. All donations then go to the Guild's Account - the amount of gold in the account is also shown on the Homepage.
Subforums are what the money can go to- until Gaia updates- that is all that can be purchased with the money. Each Subforum = 2,500 gold.
If the need arises for gold donations to purchase a subforum an Announcement will be made in the Notice Board Topic. All other times it is just your choice.

-Q- How do I Post my Stories?
-A- First go to the proper Subforum that your story fits under. Once inside, click New Topic. All story postings must be NORMAL topics. Then proceed to post your story and info to the requirements in the Story Posting Format - found in the Welcome Topic Make sure your story does not violate Gaia ToS and/or Guild Rules.

-Q-How do I get my Stories Archived?
-A- First you must have already posted the story as a new topic in the proper subforum.
The Archive Addition Format is posted in the Welcome topic- but I will explain how to archive properly here.

All you need to do is take the [Title] - [Your Penname]- & your [Stories Rating] and you link the Title part using the URL link button Gaia provides and paste in the Url link to the Story Topic. Then link your Member Profile topic to your Penname.
Also state whether the fic is a "Story" or a "Oneshot"
This post goes in the proper ARCHIVE TOPIC that your story belongs too.

(Ex: if you wrote a Naruto fanfic, you would then make a reply post in the Sticky Archive for Naruto fics. If Story does not have it's own Sticky Archive, that is fine. It is just listed in the general Subforum Announcement Archive.-more on that below-)

-Q- What is the difference between posting a Story and Archiveing one?
-A- You post a Story as a NEW TOPIC in the correct Subforums and in the proper guild format.
You post a reply in the Announcement or Sticky Topic Archive that your Story belongs to in the proper guild format.
The Archive Subforums = Subforums to house stories of that Category and that Category alone. (minus crossovers of course)
Within each Subforum there is an Announcement Archive to house a quick reference list of the Stories posted in the Subforum. Some of the more popular fandoms have Sticky Archives to help keep the list size down and to avoid over cluttering the whole Archive to where no one can find a story for a certain fandom.

-Q- There is no Sticky Archive for (My/A) fandom? Can I or the Captain and Crew create it?
-A-AT NO TIME IS A MEMBER TO MAKE THEIR OWN STICKY ARCHIVE OR ARCHIVE OF ANYFORM. If you would like a Sticky Archive for a certain fandom, than you must request it in the Feedback and Suggestions thread.
Please note that if there are hardly any stories of that fandom posted here and/or FF.Net it is unlikely the Sticky will be created. If you post up the suggestion though, more members could post that they also want to see that fandom Sticky and then if enough members wish it, it would be created.

The first question belongs to me.

How do I link things? That's a big part of our posts here, and I've never done it.

If you have say two windows open, one being gaia and one being FF.Net-- then you just COPY the URL from the FF.Net and then Highlight whatever you want to be the LINK in the gaia post you are making. above the posting area are keys that let you BOLD, Italics, underline, ect. You want to click the one that has URL and then PASTE the url script there, then you click okay. Gaia will do the rest. You can always Make your post first and then come back and do the url linking via EDIT option on your posts. Just make sure you don't click quote or reply by accident. ^_^

hopefully that answers your question, if you need more help feel free to post againl.

Since we posted our member profiles with links...what is the point of the archives?

Can anyone just post there?

Sorry, it's quite early and my brain isn't functioning very well.

How do we get stories listed in the specific archive (ie Naruto or Harry Potter)?

The last post in the Welcome/Intro Topic has the Archive Submitting Form

Basically after you post your story up in the proper Subforum, you go to the Topic of the Archive your story fits under and post a reply with that info in it.

Well, basically it is for preferences, the ARCHIVE Topics will have Quick links to the stories posted IN THE GUILD and the AUTHOR'S MEMBER PROFILE IN THE GUILD.

The Story Topics are for any stories you want to share here in the guild, remember this is a PRIVATE Guild, ANYONE can come and READ and click links, non-members just can not post here. So it is a way to get more readers for various stories.

You have the option to post ALL or just SOME of your FanFiction.
Also, if you have Fics that can not be posted because they would violate Gaia ToS and or the Guild Rules having your Member Profile in the Guild allows people to view those stories via the FF.Net link.

Some people might prefer to use the Profiles, or the Archives. I would assume most people would rather post here than FF.Net anyways when reviewing- which is why we have the Archives. It also is a neat way to quickly find readers and other writers in a specific genre here on Gaia.

hopefully that answers your question.

I still don't understnad how to submit my story, where I submit it, or what I do if my category isn't in there.

I have Danny Phantom stories, a Teen Titans one-shot, a High School Musical one-shot, and multiple Avatar poems.

There's already an Avatar section, but what about the others? Danny Phantom and Teen Titans are cartoons, and High School Musical is a movie.

Please explain. In much detail. mrgreen

Well the answer is simple I'm afraid. Your Danny Phantom and Teen Titans stories will be archived in the Cartoon Archive topic- that is where you Submit it for ARCHIVEING.

You post the stories as NEW TOPICS in the Cartoon Subforum.

Same with High School Musical, just in the MOVIE Subforum.

You post your stories in the subforum as new topics

then you just make a post in the proper Archive Topic that your story goes under and submit it to be archived.

((All submission forms, are posted in the Welcome/Intro topic))

Question: When are you going to add more categories for the archives? Like for example in the anime/manga subbie...there are more titles known to the world than those stickies or so the likes.
