Yes as strange as it is I figured a topic on dice is necessary. Cause I don't mean to say roleplaying is all about the dice. But in my case through D&D I began to collect dice.

So the questions are. (But you don't have to be force fed so feel free to add things)

What kind of dice do you own?
How many sets of dice?
Do you have a favorite set?
Anything unusuall like my D20 the size of a chair?
Any strange dice rituals? (Some people constantly set their dice to show the highest number)

Me personally I like to buy the dice that have 2 colors blended usually some metalic and then basic color. As for the number of sets I own 3 that I use. My favorite being my Purple&Gold set. I stopped with the dice rituals I use to have a bunch of them it was wierd I would clean them each night, they all had to go in my dice bag a certain way, and I did the showing the largest number thing. (the last one was a habit broken by my gm who would randomly slam his fist on the table...)

For wierd sets I have a dice set made of metal actually weighted properly that I made myself. I also have wooden ones made myself that are weighted properly. (I took a lot of hobby classes in highschool.)

Umm...I've got three, no, four dice bags, roughly 6 sets of fully polyhedral, and about 4 sets of d10 for WW.

I tend to play with my dice when the game gets lagging (or the Storyteller is dealing with someone else), but not real rituals, unless I'm feeling really, really, bored.

My dice tend to be bluish, or soft in color. I've got an orange set, but its orange/white, and looks kinda like fire.

As for odd dice, well, I've got a bone-style d6, a spherical d6, a d100, and two d30. I'm fairly sure I've got another, but I can't think of it, and for once, I don't have my sets with me.

I've got a decent about of dice in various shapes, Assorted sets with some missing dice, dice from game boxes, and such. I do keep track of my 3 sets of my RP Gaming dice. The nice Opaque Purple ones from Chessex. I got a tube(like the square cases but with 3d6 instead of 1) really early one in gaming and it's my color for dice now. I've lonely lost 1d6, one from the original set crying , but I still have the rest of the sets. biggrin

Lots o' dice, my DnD group here tends to pool resources so we have more than enough dice for everyone all thrown into a box that sits in the middle of the play area...

I have never lost a die mainly because I'm really paranoid If I can't find it all the sudden its clean up the whole house. Yeah I'm wierd like that, but yeah losing dice that are part of a set must suck.

As for a big pool of dice thats what our amazing bag o' dice is for. Pretty much a nice grocery bag of dice picked up at a gaming convention.

I like to get dice that have black with red numbers. Although I only have three sets right now, I am working on getting more. You always need extra dice.

I have bought several sets of dice over the years, and also a few single dice ocassionally. Mostly D10s (I play Call of Cthulhu, so...)

However, most of my sets were included with starter sets. (Yup, I collect starters...)

I've got lots of dice, some inherited from my older Brothers that used to play, and some bought. I always end up loosing a few die along the way and don't have any full sets anymore. crying

Weirdest dice in my collection are probably artillery dice from Warhammer Fantasy. And I've got a white d6 with a skull and crossbones as the 1.

Oh, I forgot!

My strangest die is a 6-sider I got free with some Dragon magazine.

It`s a long die, looks like a whitted piece of plastic.

I have... ummm.. alot of dice. Then again, I'm used to DMing a number of systems, playing large games of Warhammer 40K, and loaning sets of dice to just about everyone at the table.

I also have specialty dice like a real d100, a d3, a d5, and a d30.

I have quite a few different sets of dice, but my favorites are two 1d20 that I've had since I started playing. They don't match and are rather dull but I use them for everything I can.

Yay! someone else who has a d30. Can't say I've got a d3 or a d5, but I've seen them. They're...interesting.
