This particular spot gives its land to a construction very much like the others on its street. It is an averaged sized, cozy, two story, one garaged, house. It has a very welcoming appearence. Now, most of the time the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover" means abad cover could still be a great book. In this case it is quite the opposite.
A beautifully kept garden adds onto the welcoming delight of the construction overall. It seems to be a house right out of an artist's paining. The people however, are the opposite. We'll leave it at that.

LouisMuddle way, Louis thought with a gloomy frown on his freckled face. Give me a break. The name was probably the best representation of Delmor that there was. They could have stayed home. They should have stayed home.
Now here he was, new home, new life, still at the bottom, always struggling, never being paid any attention to, still missing his father. Now how the hell could his mother possibly reach the conclusion that moving to this dump would be better than before? What did she want to come out of this? Did she expect whatever this change in him was to go away after they changed their lives?
His new room sucked. His new house sucked. His new street sucked. All there were now where his neighbors. He was sure they sucked too though. What was his first bit of recreation in this hole? Unpacking boxes. And just to make it worse, they were his father’s boxes. Way to not drudge up old memories mom, he thought angrily.
Box after box of old confidential science experiments. He shoved them aside, not caring to look and see if they were worth keeping, just trying to end the endless unpacking. In times of such angry boredom, it was easy to be distracted, at least in Louis’s case. Maybe that was why when he found a thick book filled with page upon page of entries labeled, My Life: More Confidential Than Any Experiment, he couldn’t resist taking a peek.
What started out as normal, today I did this and today I did that entries slowly became more important…more serious, more engaging. And he read. He read, completely forgetting all about his hatred of books. He read from page upon page, absorbing it all. Louis, who was far from a reader, would never, ever forget, what was in that book. Nor would he tell.after>>>

Drew lept down street after street. The stolen serum in his left hand and about four police cars hot on his trail. They had started following him ever since he had left Snottsborn Industries and the only reason they hadn't caught up to him yet was because Drew kept cutting through people's lawns and sometime even going through the doors of some people's houses and out the back door or sometimes an open window. Drew couldn't believe he was breaking the law and felt terrible about it, but he needed to save Jon. After all... it was Drew's fault Jon ended up how he did.
'Don't think about that right now! Concentrate on getting back to Mieux Theater. Broadway Man is there!' thought Drew. He got to a fork in the road with a different road name for each direction. The first road name he saw was Muddle Way, and not even thinking about it he started running down the street. The four police cars swurved down the same street just as Drew hit Number 23 Muddle Way. There was no escaping the cops. They would get him.
Drew past Number 52. It was only a matter of time. Then Number 104. It was surprising the police hadn't caught him yet, but Drew supposed it was because he kept going around and through houses. Then Number 200 and then finally the ineviable happened. The police cars caught up to Drew and flanked him. Two swerved in front of him and two haulted quickly in back of him. 's**t!' thought Drew.
"Hands up!" a cop screamed out his window. "Any more movements and you'll be shot and..." but the cop didn't finish his sentence. Drew bolted for the backyard of Number 224. The police ran after him. Drew got to the backyard and looked around. He couldn't hide anywhere. Then he looked at the house next to him, Number 226. A window was wide open. The cops were just starting to run after him. They'd think he was hiding in he backyard of 224, so without further hesitation, Drew lept over the fence separating 224 and 226 and jumped through the open window just as the cops came into the backyard of 226. Drew hoped they hadn't noticed.
Drew backed away from the window and tripped and fell onto a bed. The bed felt very weird and lumpy and as he looked below him, he knew why. He had fallen onto a sleeping kid... well... he wasn't sleeping anymore... that was for sure!

Pervert?" questioned Drew as he jumped up off the bed and ran to the window to close it so that the police wouldn't hear the yelling the boy would soon probably make. "If you actually used come sense kid... you'd know that I was running from the cops and I am not trying to cuddle with you in bed. GEEZ!"
Drew was never good in dealing with kids and this kid didn't look like one he particularly wanted to talk to. "Okay... let's just get this over with now. Yes. I am running from the cops because I stole this!" Drew threw his left hand, which held the serum bottle, out in front of the kid's face. "It is very important that I don't get caught or everything that I have done so far will be for nothing. Please kid... I am not a bad guy.... just help me out and I'll be out of your hair in a matter of minutes!"

"You fall on top of me while I'm sleeping and say you're running from the cops because you're a thief!" Louis shouted. "Then you turn it around on me and say you're not a bad guy and that I should help you! Damnit, why?"
Needless to say, Louis was fuming.

"There is no why! I don't NEED your help. In fact it would be better if you didn't help at all. You don't seem that brave and you are a little bit of a brat!" (Drew thought all kids were) "So if you are going to continue yelling... I just won't even take you seriously!" Drew said.
He was not intimitated by this boy at all. Not in the least.

"You're right!" Louis shouted out. He lifted up his bedroom window and leapt outside of it. "He's in here! He's in here!" He called frantically to a car not far down the road. Apparently he had caught the officer's attention, because the car sped up the way and parked itself outside of Louis's house. A familiar man jumped from the passenger's side.
This was the cop that had interragated Louis all day and evacuated him from Stop&P alongside Ellen. "Well hello again," he nodded to Louis. "You've got my attention, make it fast, I'm on a chase." Louis definitely made it fast.
"The guy you're after! He stole some kind of potion thing, right?" The officer nodded. "He's right in there! He stormed into my house like a madman."
"Thank you," the officer said. "Don't move! He barked into the room. Don't make this harder than it has to be!"

Drew looked around for anywhere to hide and then scrambled under the bed just as the police officer came into the room. The boy came back into his room too and he had a quizzical look on his face. Drew smiled and laughed softly at the boy. 'Stupid idiot!' Drew thought.
"Where the hell is the man boy? Were you lying to me? Thought you'd make me lose somebody as pay back for what I did to you? Want to be taken in again boy? Huh?" the police man barked at the now terrifyied looking boy.
Drew had gotten this boy good.

Hiding under the bed was perhaps the most obvious hiding spot in the world, and had Louis's head been in a different spot at the moment, he would have reached that conclusion. However, his head wasn't in that spot. All he knew was that wherever the guy had gone, Louis was now confronted by a pretty damn angry cop.
"Look here, son, you're a suspect of thievery just like this man. I don't know how, but I have every right to believe that you are a part of this charade with him. You're lying to me, but I have you, and you're coming in. You have the right to remain silent."
Oh no. Louis couldn't go back and be taken in. This was all wrong. The cop advanced forward with handcuffs out. Acting on instinct alone, Louis reached in for what he had in fact, stolen. The gun. Whipping it out, without even hesitating, he pulled the trigger. Not once, but twice. Two holes appeared, red spattered quickly out of both. One hit the right pectoral muscle, and the other was in the lower left gut.
The cop fell, and Louis held the smoking gun out. He just paused, gaping stupidly at the fallen victim. There was no turning back. Louis was now seriously a criminal. But he couldn't describe what had overcome him. He had murdered a cop. Now he was just as much on the run as this man with him.

"HOLY s**t!" Drew shouted as he watched the events unfold before his eyes.
He flung out from under the bed and looked at the cop. He was stone cold dead. "We heard gun shots! Bring back up immediately!" another voice said from outside the boy's door. "HOLY s**t!" Drew repeated again. Without thinking, Drew grabbed hold of the gun in the boy's hand, took the gun, and then grabbed the boy by his wrist and with all of Drew's might, he threw the boy out the window and Drew followed right before the two other cops that were stationed outside of the boy's room came in.
"Listen!" Drew shot at the boy. "We have limited amount of time. What you did was stupid and OUT OF THE QUESTION! You're coming with me. It is the only way you are gonna live! We're going to a run down theater close by. We can cut through the yards of some of these house to get there quikcer. Also... you are with me... because I have the gun now. You're a killer... and I wouldn't think twice about killing you now. You will either follow and help me or I'll scream bloody murder to the cops in your room right now and I guarantee you... they won't even budge their heads towards me when they found out you killed a cop. What you did is FAR worse than what I did! Now follow me... or else kid!" Drew finished and rose the gun to the kid's back. "Go!" Drew whispered into the boy's ear and they bounded out of the yard of Muddle Way 226.

Louis was scared out of his mind. He was so scared, in fact, that all he could do was nod his head and follow along with the man. For a second, Louis had thought the tracks where covered. he could bury the body farther away, clean up any stains, and get on with life safely. He was wrong. The other cops had followed up. Soon, they would find their friend dead, and Louis's house would be swarming with the men in blue. As horrible as it was, Louis still found time to think, take that, Mom. His mom, as he had found out, had left to do the very shopping he was unable to complete.
"I'm with you," Louis said. "But I want my gun back." after>>>
