Like movies, books are great way to entertain oneself. Books leave more to the imagination than a movie, and enhance the reader's brain.
That being said, what kind of books do you folks read, if any?

I'm currently reading Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. 3nodding I just came off of reading Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, the sequels of which I should go read, too. razz
I'll read just about anything as long as it keeps me interested. I'm not picky unless it's boring. razz

I saw an article about that. Remade by his son and all that. If I remember correctly... it said that Tolkien had worked on-and-off on it for 30 years or something like that. Man, I just can't imagine... O___O That dude put a lot of work into his books. And yup, 'twas quite cool. 3nodding

I am currently reading the new Tolkien book, called The Children of Hurin. i loved the sequels, especially Speaker for the Dead and Ender's Shadow. My favourite authors are Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, especially Neil's Sandman series and his graphic novels about Death, and Terry's Discworld series, but lately i've been reading a lot of H.P. Lovecraft. Cthulhu fhtagn! i like fantasy and science fiction a lot. And mythology, especially Australian mythology. i have a pet bearded dragon, and since they kind of believe that a beardie created the universe, i can't help but like those stories. i'm kind of biased. wink But any myth will do. i also like steamy Highland romance novels...

I love books. I can read books for hours on end... and forget to sleep.
I tend to read books about the Holocaust. That's one of my major points of interest. Autobiographies of the Holocaust. Yeahhh.
I also like reading autobiographies of anyone. I like learning about people. One great book that has been permanently attached to my nightstand is Harpo Speaks, the autobiography of Harpo Marx.
I just got done reading a good book called Crispin: The Cross of Iron. Hm... Kootz's books.. scare me, but I read them anyway.
And of course, I read the hard-core smut of Laurel K. Hamilton.

I'm currently reading a vampire book. I just finished a great book by the late night comedian Craig Ferguson. If you're looking for something filled with sex, weirdness, and cute scottish accents, then this is the book for you! 3nodding

Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett eh?
Haha, I haven't read anything by them yet, but, I went to the bookstore the other day, and I bought Good Omens. Maybe it was fate, because I happened to pick up the book that was a compilation of your two favourite authors. whee

Yeahhhhh. I'm pretty sure. I've read so many Holocaust books that deal with a boy and his father that I've lost count of which are which.
I just remember it being a good book. xd

A good book is Night... I can't remember who wrote it, though. Yeah, i'm that way with "Scotland"... why is it that i have no Scottish blood in me? 'Tis my dearest wish, to be Scottish... i play the pipes and everything... and i've got just about every other nationality in my background... but, anyways, i'm off the subject. Night is by Elie Wiesel.
