So we've only got 5 topics in this forum but they focus on Metal/Rock. I guess the question what do you all think of other Genres?
For Instance Rap....
Personally I'm a fan of a lot of genres and I do like a good bit of rap...some of it really good and some of it is ******** awful (but i still like it)

I never have been so much a genre type but more of just If I like the feeling I get from the music I'll buy it. Thats why I probably have atleast 2-3 cds from every genre.
As for some of my favorite stuff I really like things that sound sorta rainy dayish, and no not the I'm depressed rainy dayish but just songs that remind me of rain. Wow that sounded so cliche, but it is true.

I don't like rap. I'm not saying it's bad but to me it just...bad.
What I like doing after a bad day at work is wind down to some Classixal/Orchestral. Something epic like Beethoven or Mozart, Bach or Wagner. That is some amazing art those gentlemen have created.

I like rock of most sorts and japanese pop, along with a few songs from other genres.
In my opinion, rap isn't music. It's talking put to a beat.

I like all sorts of genres outside of the whole rock/metal deal. Im fact, I've sorta grown tired of the whole rock/metal scene. All the fun old classic rock songs are getting sorta boring now, and there hasn't been any "real" rock in like 25 years or so.
I've been listening to a lot of classic country, big band&swing, and a lot of neat indie stuff that I hear on the radio. I don't even mind some rap, but none of this current Jayzee kinda crap, where its all about dancing around and having money with really repeatitive lyrics and one headache inducing bass beat. I like rap back when it was about killing people, and selling drugs, and laden with foul language.
I like all sorts of stuff I guess. Anything other then all this god awful non-music they play on MTV and top 40 stations. I can't stand any emo, screamo,nu-metal,rap metal, hip-hop, dance pop kind of stuff.

I don't like rap. I rather listen to some sweet Coheed and cambria!
Although back in the day I used to listen to Vanilla Ice!!!!! biggrin

I tend to be an enthusiast of classic, traditional heavy metal, a la Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and the like. As well as modern bands whom cull influence from them, such as Hammerfall. heart
And, I also like a few softer things, such as Jewel and Sixpence None the Richer.
And, I also have a fondness for classical, as well. ^_^
