Did you know that on game cube disc the part where it says model No. DOL - (some number here). The DOL stands for Dolphin as in what the system was called originally. you can find a Similiar REV on the Wii game disc of course standing for Revolution.

Please feel free to share your wierd facts about nintendo systems.

Well it's not a weird fact but a fact none the less.

Gamebot Advanced SP can play underwater. I know, I've seen it done.

Same with DS, the codes all start with NTR, short for the DS's code name, Nitro.

They all do that. The N64 says NUS on it, which stands for Nintendo Ultra System, or Nintendo Ultra 64, it's codename.

You all probsbly know these but... Nintendo consoles are the hardest to destroy,
Pressing and holding the Z button when you start up your Gamecube makes a funny sqeaky noise, and the DS is region-free, but the Wii is not.

If you hold down Z on four different controllers, it makes ANOTHER different noise.

A gamecube or Wii dropped about 7ft or less on a tile floor while running will not under most conditions realize that it had been dropped. and DS' can be spiked like footballs and 70% of the time (Depending on individual strentgh) survive with litlle more than a scratched paintjob.

most of my friends are game-junkies and/or gamestop employees..... but they're also kinda hard on their stuff.... when bored willy does his own personal stress tests on EVERYTHING. the Wii has not been in a stress test yet, but keeps getting yanked off the entertainment center whenever the A/V cables are switched.

For some reason the thought of football being played with a DS now amuses me. Yeah someone was telling me how their gamecube dropped of their entertainment stand and of course it just went on playing perfectly fine.

whenever my friend chris has issues with his games, he throws the controller as if he was spiking a football, and since gameboys ARE the controllers.... he's lost 3 PSPs, two gamegears and 12 cellphones in the time I've known him... Luckily he has two good jobs and almost no bills (lives with friends and only has to pay for food/transportation/phone)

lucky him XD i've never had one psp or gamegear, and definitely not 12 cellphones (only 2, both are in good condition).

the only system i was hard on was my xbox - even though it had that quick release controller cable i still always managed to pull it off my tv... the poor thing didn't last long.

maybe i should've had a gamecube. XD

I love my old NES more then whatever future children I will never have,

Did ya'll know that the actual Nintendo game company is over 100 years old? Seriously, they started out making playing cards.

At one time they tried instant rice.

Miyamoto, one of the most well known Nintendo video game designers, was hired because his dad's friend owned it. He had a degree in art. No previous computer programming training.

Now look at him. He is responsible for the Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and Pikmin franchises. He was also key in the making of the Wii. He's got to be really smart to come up with those.
