Deep within the far reaches of Mt. Blanche lies a cave with numerous passages. Some kept trodden by the feet of traveling creatures, others wild and perilous left for the adventurer to take their own risks. Regardless of the paths...there are rumors... many in fact. Some say a crazed old man died up in these mountains and sometimes you can still hear his cries of vengeance or feel his cold, dead hand wisp by the back of your neck. Others say there is a hero among these frosted paths, a silent rescuer, that if ever one is in need he'll swoop in and save them...but when the person looks for their savior...they'll find nothing around them but the ice. There are many other rumors, perhaps you should travel through the paths and make your own? Perhaps you'll find proof to support the other rumors? Go ahead, search from top to bottom, left to right. Perhaps you'll find nothing at all...but be wary! There are said to be numerous traps and dangers among these ice caves; we wouldn't want you to go missing on us...
So, this is just one of those make your own ending stories. You don't know what those are? Well, pretty much I'll give you a story entry, then at the end of that paragraph you'll have some choices, we'll call 'em A and B. Say you choose choice A. Then underneath I'll have a post to go to. [ All of the posts will be numbered, don't worry.] After you go to your directed post there will be another paragraph and under that some more choices, or perhaps there weren't be any. It all depends on how you choose to walk your path. ^^ You can do this as much as you want. This is just here... well... you'll find that out later. Feel free to post your thoughts abuot it or whateva. ^^ Have fun.

1.
Start:
You're walking along Mt. Blanche's thickets when a storm picks up. Snow blowing into your face, you can barely make out a small cave ahead of you. You debate on whether or not to go into the cave, but with the wind blowing fiercely at your back you decide that it would be for the best. However, as you enter the cave you find it to be less than hospitable. It's dark tunnels and moaning noises make you want to run out right away, but you turn to face the weather. The nearest town is about 20 minutes away, and there's no garuantee you'll make it to the town. You turn abruptly when you hear a moaning noise echo throughout the cave. 'Just the wind...' you think to yourself, or was it? The real question is... to go in, or not to go in?...
A: You kidding?! I'm not going in there! I've had my break and now I'm heading back out. I'll take my chances with the weather!

You end up walking for about an hour before you make your way to the town. "It's a good thing you didn't freeze out there or worse! Crazy kids, running around in this weather, jeesh;" the innkeeper says handing you a cup of hot soup. "You really lucked out." he says and walks off. 'Yeah... I guess I did...' you think to yourself and stare at the cup, wondering what would've happened if you would've taken different paths...

You walk cautiously into the cave, mistepping here and there because of the uneven ground. You have a light source now [whether it be magic, a flashlight or whateva] and your beginning to get your bearings about the place. "This isn't so bad..." you say to yourself to keep your confidence going. You come to a fork in the road and stand in the middle, not sure of which path to take. As you stand there debating you can hear a low groaning echoing out from one of the caves. You stand in the middle not knowing what to do, and at a second groaning you make an impulse decision!
A: You make a break for it to the right!

Panting fervently you end up stopping a ways down the path. You begin calming down after that little incident. "It's ok...it was just the wind..." You tell yourself, when all of sudden you see something move swiftly across the cave. You look up, petrified. 'An animal? Another person? My imagination?...' you begin wondering to yourself when you see it again, moving away from you, or so it appeared. You summon some courage and decide to...
A: Call out, if its another person then I'll have some companionship.

Feeling safe you stop a minute and listen. After you don't hear anything for a while you lean up against a wall to catch your breath, but upon doing so you feel something press into your back. You turn grasping at your back as you point your light source at the object. "A lever..." you say to yourself, disappointed that you got so worked up over just a silly lever. "Hmmm...it does cause one to wonder what a lever could be doing all the way down here..." You say pondering whether you should pull it or not...
A: Heck, might as well pull it. What's the worst that could happen?...Ummm...wait...Yeah, just pull it! *squints eyes*

6.
You decide to call out to the creature, but when you do it stops for a brief instant as if analyzing you from afar, but then it speeds off into the tunnel. Deciding that since it ran from you that you must be a bigger threat to it than it to you, you begin to follow it; running briskly of course. Enough to keep close, but not enough to scare it away. You come to a dead end, which is actually a beautifully lit-up ice wall that appears to surround something. You lean towards the ice, trying to get a better look. You appear to be above whateva is being enclosed, but that's all you can gather before you hear a horrible noise and see a shadowy figure heading straight at you!
I don't care who you are, you'd be making a break for it at this point!

7.
Quietly you sneak up on this...whatever it is. You're following closely, but stealthily for about 10 minutes when you peek around a wall to see some cloaked figure standing at what appears to be a dead end. You watch the figure check on the wall and using some kind of magic on it for some reason, and its now that you realize there's something on the other side of the wall. You're trying to peer closer when a loud groaning like noise is heard along with some crashing bangs and the like. At the instant they went off it startled you, causing you to slip a bit down the corner of the wall. Apparently just enough noise for the figure to hear you...for as you look up you see a glowing red eyes from beneath the cloak and without thinking about it you make a break for it back down the tunnel!

You stand in front of the lever, licking your lips, still debating on your decision, when as if by reflex you close your eyes and pull it down, waiting for the worst. However, when you open your eyes, its to your surprise that chunk of the ice wall comes apart revealing a secret passage! 'S-Should I go in?...' you think to yourself, flashing your light down it, inspecting it. Out of nowhere you hear another loud groaning that causes you to jump! Do you go into the secret path?...
A: Of course I'm going in it! How many other times am I ever going to get a chance like this?!

9.
Feeling confident with your decision to leave the lever alone you begin walking more briskly, not paying close attention to the cave. Then suddenly, you gasp as you feel yourself lose balance. 'I'm falling off a cliff!' you think to yourself in the moment as you realize what you've done. 'Oh no!' is the only thing going through your mind as you fall towards the ground, not sure what'd you land on, or if you'd make it through alive. Its to your own surprise when you land on something soft. You open your eyes and look at your surroundings. The substance you landed on appears to be a jello-like creation and as for the rest of your surroundings...just another level to the cave. You hear some noises coming from the left of your current position. You wait and see if something is going to jump out or its just the water in the cave dripping or something. You wait and nothing happens so you...
A: Ignore it, its probably just water dripping.

10.
You're running like crazy trying to beat whatever it is thats behind you. You're not even paying attention where you're going, or to if the direction you're headed is even correct. All you know is that you want to get out of this cave and fast! You take a second to look behind you and your eyes widden with shock as you see that the thing that is following you is travelling as if a shadow on the wall. It has no apparent form, but is stuck to the wall and gaining on you fast! You're still looking at the creature behind you, when you feel something in front of you trip you. You catch yourself in time and continue running, but you can't help but think, 'Did I just trip some kind of wire?...' You put it aside for now as you see the cave entrance coming up fast. Its still snowing horribly, but you figure at this point you'll take your chances. At the entrance you stop and panting for breath look behind you to look at the creature. Its stopped some ways down the tunnel, starring back at you... You stand there not sure whats going to happen, it feels like time has stopped...and then you hear a voice shout at you, "GET OUT!" But before you can turn to run a sweeping wind comes past you and sends you flying out into the blizzard, landing you right in a giant pile of snow. You lay there for a second, but then decide it'd be best if you high-tail it out of there and you head off to the nearest town, or to any town at this point...
Phew, that was close eh?

11.
You begin walking down the passage, being even more cautious because of the substantially dimmer light and also the eerie wind blowing around you is startling. You're constantly tripping on the uneven ground and the unseen rocks and ice stalagmites. A few times you thought you heard something click and waited, expecting to see some giant boulder coming at you or get arrows shot at you, but to your surprise and luck, nothing of the sorts occured. You're coming to the end of the passage now, you can see the bright light coming through from the end. You stop for a moment because you've started to hear a loud roaring like noise. You try to figure out what it is, but you figure its not an animal because its rhythm and consistancy. You come to the end and at first you block out the light because its so bright. You let your eyes get adjusted and notice that you're in the middle of a crystaline area. Diamond like stones cover the wall refracting the light. 'But what light...' you think to yourself and turn to face a giant waterfall. You look up at the opening of the waterfall and see that the moonlight, of where the storm must have passed, is shining through the crystaline structure. 'Its beautiful...' you think to yourself but decide that its time you moved on. You look around you see the water from the waterfall veering off somewhere, but no visible path to go down. As far as you can tell you can go down a bright blue path, a dark path or a path very much the same as the cavern you're in now. You choose...
A: The bright blue path, it seems bright enough to give light.

B: The dark path, I hate sterotypes, this tunnel is probably the safe one, I mean hey, if I can't see whatever is in here, chances are it can't see me either.

12.
You decided to ignore it and begin walking in the other direction. You stop in front of this rock wall and notice that there's really no way out of this pit you've fallen into. You do look back once at the area where the noise came from and see there's a bit of an inlet in the wall but as far as you can tell, or are brave enough to check is that it's not that deep. You turn your attention back to the rock face and wonder about climbing it to get back to where you were before you fell. You're standing there wondering about it when all of a sudden you feel someone behind you. You turn quickly and are surprised that no one is there. You stare there for a moment, your heart racing...then you slowly turn your head until there in front of you are two glowing red eyes. You start to scream out, but before you can the being does something to you, and you black out...

13.
Slowly, you walk over to where the noise was. You wait for anything to jump out at you, but as you get over to where the noise was, you find that nothing jumps out at you, in fact, when you shine your light at the noise you find its just an ice stalagtite that's dripping water. You stand there calming down after your discovery when it occurs to you. 'It's so cold in here, why...would anything be melting...' you keep inspecting the melting area and you begin to wonder if...someone was sitting there...'With a stalatite?...' you wonder picturing bats, but you know they wouldn't be in this area. You hear something move behind you and quickly turn to flash your light at it, but all you get is the shadow of the thing moving. Your eyes turn to shock as the creatures hell-fire eyes stare at you, glaring menacingly. You back up slowly, keeping your eyes locked with the creatures. Your back hits the wall and slowly you begin to just move around, then you feel it! An opening! You turn your eyes to it briefly. 'A way out!' You wait for the right moment, and then run for it! You can't tell if the creature is behind you or not but you can see a light coming from the end. You continue running at it as fast as you can. You reach the ending and try to stop abruptly as you see the exit leads to a drop-off. 'I'm ok, I can stop...' You tell yourself, but then your foot slips, and you go slidding out of the tunnel! You close your eyes tightly as you feel the chilled wind whipping past you. You feel death coming, are expecting death, when you land; however, its in a giant puff of white, because you landed in a fresh patch of snow. You lay there in disbelief, the opening of the tunnel probably about 50 feet up. Your eyes widden and you begin to run when you notice a red glint coming from the opening, whether it was really there, or if it was just your imagination you don't care, you book it to whatever town you can make it to!

14.
You're walking down the bright blue tunnel, admiring the color, when all of a sudden you feel the tip of your foot begin to fall in fron of you! You turn your vision in front of you and realize that there's a giant drop-off in front of you! You swing your arms rapidly, trying to maintain your position, but the ice causes you to slip right into the hole! You close your eyes expecting the worse, when all of a sudden you land on your butt and begin slidding rapidly. "Oh my gosh, I'm on an ice slide!" you say out loud and then grimmace as you bite your tongue. You continue going down this tunnel uncaring about where its going because its so much fun! Out of no where you fly out of the end of the tunnel, landing on a giant pile of snow. You lay there laughing about it, when you realize what happened. You sit up and see a town directly in front of you, barely 3 miles away. You look towards the mountain. "Aw...I didn't even get to explore that much..." you say and think about walking all the way back over. You sigh and shrug it off. "I'll go some other time..." You say depressed and head towards the town.
