[Age] 22ish
[Gender] Female
[Height/Physical Appearance] About 5'8", slender build, long slightly curly red hair, green eyes, fair skin. Will wear jeans/slacks for pants, either sleeveless shirts with semi-high necks or turtlenecks depending on the weather, and simple but elegant dresses unless she's going out for a special occasion. Likes to wear a black leather choker with decorative chains on it that drape across the front.
[Occupation] Her father is a surgeon and her mother is an assistant manager at a zoo/animal reserve. She went to college to follow in her mother's footsteps and while looking around for somewhere to put her skills to use she caught wind of the project. Thanks to her father's career and her mother's smart investing she's got enough money in the bank that she could travel and live abroad if she wanted to... she just doesn't.
[Strengths/Skills] She's had experience with wild animals from childhood and certified training to follow it, so while she's not trained to deal with Layhr in particular she's better equipped than some. She's also taken dancing and kick-boxing lessons for years so she's fairly physically fit.
[Weaknesses] Not a super neat-freak but not a messy pack-rat either, she has some minor organizational problems... to anyone else's eyes. She tends to keep track of files and things in her own manner and while she generally knows where things are it can take her a while to find it sometimes if it dates back very far. She also loves to swim but is somewhat phobic about any body of water larger than a swimming pool due to a pair of accidents in her life.
[Personality] Nyhali can be fairly tempermental at times, although that seems to come with being a red-head. When she puts her mind to doing something she generally gets it done unless she is physically or mentally incapable of it for some reason. She always pushes herself toward her goals, whether that be schoolwork or learning to swim in spite of her fear of water. All that aside she can be a very gentle person when she feels close enough to someone or something to let her softer side show.
[Brief history/background] Nyhali spent more time with her mother as a child than with her father, but even so she actually spent more time with the zoo staff and the animals than with anyone else. Most of her friends were from school or other children of the zoo employees. She grew up loving animals and really, relating to them better. She was rather an introvert through elementary and middle school but blossomed somewhat in high school and rather enjoyed the social side of life. Fortunately she never fell into drugs or booze, although she does enjoy some wine now and again that she's old enough to do so. She didn't have as much time for social interactions in college but went out when she could as long as her classwork was finished. Animals were then and still are her main passion.

When she was about 7 and before she had learned to swim her parents took her for one of their rare vacations to a marine park and someone - they never found out who - shoved her into the dolphin tank. Utterly terrified as she was she had presense of mind enough to grab the dorsal fin of the second dolphin that passed her and was brought to safety. That was when she swore to herself to learn to swim. Later, on her 16th birthday, she got to go sailing with her first (and currently last) boyfriend and his father on the father's ship; a storm came up and her boyfriend got washed overboard and while no one ever found a body he's presumed dead. He was the one that gave her the choker and she still wears it in memory of him. This is also the reason why she's afraid of large bodies of water.
