Tundra was founded in northern Norway in 1996. Evolved from the band Moonrise where Massacra of Frostmoon was a part-time member. Two demonstational tapes were released in 1997. A debut album was scheduled in 1999 but was never completed in the studio. The band was later reactivated for coming releases.
