I can't tell you how many people i know that love this band. I think that the band itself it good but i hate the vocals. But hey, that's only my opinion. I highly encourage you to check them out if you havent already because they are a good band.

You're right. The band totally rocks. And I must agree with you about the vocals. I don't think the vocals are that bad, but I like the music better than the singing.

This is probably THE only band in which the vocals play such a large part in my enjoyment of the music.

I mean obviously the music alone is better than anything else I've ever heard, but without Daniel delivering lyrics such as the "Once there were forests and mountains that were only his ... listening to him. Once he would run through the summer days, catching memories, for ages to come. NOW! He is dressing this naked floor, which his flesh and blood and time passes by. His trade of pain might just have led him to deal with consequence for some change as time passes byyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" they would certainly be missing a large part of what makes them so amazing.

Gildenlow is EASILY my favorite vocalist, Pain of Salvation is EASILY my favorite band.

Lyrically, they're one of the best bands ever. Musically and vocally, I kinda have to be in the mood for it, as with most progressive stuff, because it's not exactly easy listening. One Hour By the Concrete Lake, Remedy Lane, and Elements are their best albums, IMO. What I've heard of the latest one, Scarsick, is awful though...Gildenlow rapping = FAIL.

Grate band, I really dont have any beef with the vocals, in fact, I do like them. The Perfect Element, Part 1, is amazing, and in my opinion is there best work.

I love pain of Salvation, They're such a great group of musicians.

I think the vocals could certainly be better, but I don't think their bad.
My favorite album thus far is Entropia, theirs so much jazz influence in the songs.

I actually LOVE the vocals.. I'm surprised to see so many people dislike them! Though I have to agree that I really do not enjoy Scarsick. I tried listening to it and I couldn't get past the first song. But albums such as BE and Remedy Lane are amazing. The Perfect Element is fantastic too.
