Ah cmon the stroy wasnt even good. The manga yet again proved that its always better than the anime here. Its just one persons opinion here and i can see im out voted but if this had the same story minus the violence what are you left with? a half assed anime about saving the planet. Sry to be bitchy but i like originality ans saving the human race from a new race has been done to death.
Who said it's about saving the planet or saving the human race from another race?
The story had nothing to do with that.
That old b*****d wanted to breed with Lucy so he can be pretty much King of a new race, but that's because he was a power hungry a*****e.
You failed to see the real storyline.
Also this story is very much original, and pretty much as real life as it gets.
What's unoriginal is all the other animes where everyones happy all the time and the good guys always win, blah blah blah.
Those are the storylines that have been rinsed and repeated.
