Ok I need some help. I have re-specd my self enough times for it to be very expensive now. I am a lvl 44 arms spec warrior, I stun like it aint no thang but I apparently suck at PvP. Then I noticed im not doing to much damage, I just kinda swing away in a happy little world... My weps are decent my armor is 2k+, 3k+ w/shield I know im not tank spec, but is Arms spec a group support spec only ? I'm really quite lost.

Arms spec is not a group support spec by far. out of all the warrior specs its probably the least group friendly, cause it is built for nothing more than Pure Burst damage in most people's opinion it is the best for BG's, just because in BG's as a warrior u cant count on over time DPS(Fury) so u get in a couple really big hits hence the name Burst
also if u choose to go down the arms line, make sure u r using a 2hd'd weapon
here are my reccomendatiosn for yur spec tree, at 44 im hoping i get this right and guess u have 33 talent points
for arms pvp style ive gotten a pretty nice build IMO, so here it is
under the Fury Line, put 5 Points in Cruelty
Arms tree: 2 in Improved Charge, 5 in Deflection, 5 in Stun Resistance, 2 in Improved Overpower, 3 in Deep Wounds, 2 in Impale, 5 In 2hd Specialization, then 4 in your choice of weapon(sword, poleaxe, mace)
then i woudl finish the line by getting full points in weapon Secialization, then get sweeping strikes for mortal Strike, Blood Freny and finish off arms tree with Improved Mortal Strike(MS) and Endless Rage, also put 3 Points into Improved Hamstring, cause that does wonders in BG's and Arena
After u finish arms line, i went down the Prot line to get Anticipation, Toughness, and Last stand
but really if u folo my build, everything after Endless rage and Improved MS is all just preference
also at all costs avoid Weapon Mastery and Improved Disciplines

I think I counted 35 points... I have a few points in some of the areas you sujested. Currently I dual wield maces. 2h weps I find slow, my double maces haul but and swing like its going out of style... with a 2h I feel like I just kinda sit there waiting my turn or something idk. I do know currently I only have 2 pts in cruelty and only 1 pt in 2h special. That could by why I suck with 2h weps.

That could by why I suck with 2h weps. if u are plannign on being mostly arms spec, u r goign to have to get used to the idea of a 2hd weapon, cause Arms Spec is driven for pure burst dmg, sumthign that u cant achieve with dual wielding. maybe u shoudl be in the fury spec whic is better for dual wielding. i guarantee u want have as big of hits so it will be harder to get killing blows and sum ppl will try to tell u dual wieldign is ok for pvp warriors, but it really isnt. U will be able to dps better over time, but in PVP dps isnt as useful as burst.

Ok so Arms spec is Burst damage right ? I know prot is tank spec, but what is fury then ?

Fury is best for over time dps, but lately there has been this craze of using a 2hd weapon adn being half fury half arms. its an ok combo, but most warriors will agree Improved MS is what makes pvp warriors so dangerous. one other thing in teh up coming patch the warriors Flurry ability will be getting nerfed, which is the main reason to be the fury/arms hybrid. so now there is less incentive to be a hyrbrid.

Fury is a pathetic shade of what the tree used to be. It's more geared towards two 1h weapons (bloodthirst mmm) and all that crap. Enrage and Flurry no longer proc off of one another, which is absolute tripe.
Arms is one of the best PvP/DPS trees to be in. It's how you spend your points is what ultimately makes or breaks you. I'm Arms/prot (so I can offtank) and I still slam out some pretty nasty crits with a 2hander. But it is - it's ALL burst damage. If you're not critting, you're usually losing. If you're generating a lot of rage, dump some of your rage into sunder armour believe it or not - you'll notice a DPS increase, as well as if they dodge it, yay instant overpower! biggrin
And if you specced right, you get an overpower crit chance. Best bet is improved charge, as you'll generate enough rage after a charge and one swing to do an instant mortal strike. I personally enjoy using hamstring first though.

Also up top you said something about using a shield, dont, thats your problem. Use a big, heavy, hard hitting 2 handed weapon, thats where you will get your big damage from.

i agree, it really is how you use points, i am an arms spec and i only have points going into things i use like 2h spec and bloodthirst, plus all the lower deflection and such, but i also have mortal strike and wep mastery so i can do insane burst crits and i can't be dissarmed. So it comes down to what you want outta your character.

Arms is for wasting rogues. rofl Unless the rogue gets lucky. (happend to me i won barely they crited high so my health was doing down fast...)Oh and i have met some arms warrior that suck that bad lols. Theyre supose to build rage and regain health when they're stunned. And overpower or w/e it was hurts like a b***h.
