What did all of you think the hardest boss (excluding final one,) was in GS1? I thought that DeadBeard was.

None of them were too hard.

Well, Deadbeard was the longest, excluding the Fusion Dragon, but none of them were too hard. Length of a battle isn't a sign of difficulty, because my fight against Dullahan required the use of only one Psy Crystal and no Water of Life/Revive.
Thank goodness for Flash. He is the helpiest (that's not a word, is it?) little djinni there is.

It really depends on what level your characters are and what items they have equipped. If you visited the Venus lighthouse before Deadbeard and got the hidden equipment there ie: Feathered Robe, Gaia Blade, kikuichimonji, etc etc; then Deadbeard was not so hard. Otherwise the hardest boss in my opinion was Saturos at the Mercury Lighthouse.

If you bring TLA into it, I can't really say what the hardest was. I beat Dullahan with level 36 characters in 4 turns (not the individual character's turn, the entire party's turn), but I had a super-happy-fun strategy I found in a random walkthrough somewhere.

As far as I could see while I was battling him (super-happy-fun), he would be pretty difficult without a strategy. He took out my first four characters after 2 turns, but he was already half-dead! xd
Now, if I hadn't had a strategy, I would have died, tried again, convinced myself that the game was evil for a week, pick it up again, die again, rinse, and repeat.

I freaked when I won whee

Coolness. That's like what happened when I fought the Doom Dragon.
Except Ivan was the only one left. O.o
