Okay. I never tried role-play, and don't know much about the concept of it, but I'm going to try anyway. Anyone who has come along this thread, I thank you, and I hope you abide by these rules I'm setting to this story.

I'm planning this out in a Relay. It should work, but if it doesn't, it would probably be because of the writers not following my rules.

Ehem...

1. You are not allowed to take over the story. This thread is for everybody, and I intend to keep it that way.

2. This is a relay, as I said before. You post something up, get a happening going, and leave enough space for another person to keep going with the story. For example, "He watched the darkness, and squinted a bit. What was that figure in the distance...?"
You may want to stop it there so someone else can carry the story on.

3. You must stick to the plot. I will put a very, very vague one in at the end of this post, so you get a rough idea on what's supposed to happen. So, NO sudden alien invasions. NO sudden character going 'Ha! I have tricked all of you! In fact, I am a talking cucco! Bow before me!' sort of thing. Please stick to the plot. Roughly. You can make your character a double agent if you wish, but please give hints.
e.g. 'He looked around and asked, "Hey, where's John?"
Nobody knew where he was. He disappeared often, but never for such a long time. Where was he? What was he up to?'
That kind of thing.

4. If you're going to post an amount of writing, please keep it longer than a paragraph, but shorter than... an amount that anybody would agree that it's just WAY too long. Like the post I'm doing right now.

5. Keep to your characters, and stay original. If someone has already taken Link away from you, I'm sorry but kindly choose some other character to play. If there is a Link already in there, please don't post up a small link, or TP link, or whatever. You can be creative and make your Link a BROTHER to the already-existing-in-the-story Link (with the named changed, of course) but if that idea is taken also, kindly choose another character.

6. If you wish to come in with your own character in between the story, please introduce yourself properly and don't make it look as if you've been in the story the whole time. That just blows everybody off. So please, don't.

7. You are not allowed to review this story in this thread. That also throws people off. I will post up a different thread specifically for that, and in that thread, you may criticize, suggest ideas, and say what you think. But no flames, or unnecessary remarks that may put down writers. Just constructive criticism, thanks.

And that's the rules I can find so far. If I think up more, I'll... I don’t what to do if that happens. I'll Pm you on your mistake, or put it on the review thread. I'll think on what to do when the problem actually arises.

Please enjoy, and I'll be eagerly waiting for responses. On the other thread, mind you.

Vague Plot:
Savir Varekai is sent on a journey by the Prince of Hyrule to look for a blade much like the Triforce, only not as powerful and legendary. In legends it is known as the brother of the Master, and its true name is known only by the royal family, and its spy, Savir. Taking on the name Sheik, Savir travels through Hyrule for the relics needed to awaken the sword from its slumber, and along the way, meets friends that may aid him.
However evil intends to take the sword for itself, and to do that it needs the relics these warriors search for, and the name of the blade itself. But that is not the only secret Savir keeps to himself...

A dark figure flitted through the night, intent on presenting itself to its master. The events that had transpired through the castle walls had been very... interesting, to say the least. The conversations in the grand meeting rooms were treasures to the spy, and the pleasure of its master hearing of its existence... the creature could not wait to have an audience with its lord. The honour, the rapture, the blood it would acquire...!

It hurried on its clawed paws, intent on leaving the plain field and its bare, twinkling sky for dark cave and catacombs of the Mountain. It loomed above all, majestically and proudly, with a sense of power only the Master and his relic could hold. It came closer and closer as the dark creature's haunches sprung into vigorous action, its jaw drooling greedily for its prize.

The creature dived for the first entrance and scuttled up through the twisting tunnels, and after minutes of anticipation and hurried steps, it reached its lord's thrown, bowing its scaly head.

"Maasssssteerrrr...."

There was a growling in the darkness the creature faced, the rank stench of famine and war curling through its lord's words. "What news do you have... servant..."

Finally, it was going to be recognized! Excitedly the creature told its tale, it long tongue dangling over its dangerous jaw. "It exists, my lord. They spoke of the prophecy that would transpire, and they fear your return. The cursed royal family is currently in search of it; they have sent a spy of their own for the journey only half a day ago. There is only one journey man, my lord, going by the name of Sheik..."

"And..." the stench came again, laced with the ever present rumbling of the stones as the demon in the shadows spoke. The yellow eyes of the spy caught the massive tusks of the lord and shivered as the words came to his ears. "The name of the relic... do you have it...!?"

The spy gulped and hesitated. "That piece of information, my lord... was given through silenced magic. I could not retrieve it."

"You do not know it...? Very well." to the creature's horror its lord's hand moved towards his guards, and they moved forward, brandishing their axes high.

"No... Oh no...!"

"You have failed me for the last time, Ligral."

The screams of the lizalfos was the last thing to die as he was brutally cut away from existence.

Sheik looked up from his fire, having heard the snap of a twig again. He scanned the trees that surrounded the small clearing, and saw to his chagrin that the shadows around him had deepened with the birth of his small fire. The night did not help either. He could not see the enemy, but the enemy could see him. Even if he did snuff out the fire, there would be no point in it if he had to wait for his eyes to get used to the darkness. Sure, the stars were out, but the moon was stuck in the clouds, and it would be a while before it shook them off.

His bronze hand swiftly grabbed his long knife from the ground and unsheathed it, scanning the area again with his red eyes. Don't panic, he told himself. He was Sheikah; a race of Shadow. As long as he was surrounded by it, all was going to be okay. A part of him argued that he was still not fully trained; another part argued that he would not be on this mission if his superiors thought otherwise.

He flicked his blonde tresses away from his face and cautiously looked around. He ddn't even know what he guarding against. It could just be an animal. Or it could be another travellor. In the worst case scenario it would be a demon sent out by his enemies; in several numbers, and in ghostly forms. If he called out, would the demons take it as a signal to attack? What if the travellor wasn't friendly either? It could be a thief; let alone a free lance mercenary like himself.

He decided to risk it and called, "Who's there?"

There was a slow silence, drifting in and out with the wind as it tussled the leaves around the dark, flickering clearing.

He waited, muscles tense.
