Shen walked past the memorial and looked upon the names engraved, the most notable names to him were those of the people who had died because of the Sound village. "Brave warriors all of you, I give you my respect." spoke Shen solemnly.

Shen brushed his fingers over the names until they ran across a name he had known for it was the name of the young man who had died and was responsible for the Uchiha eyes Shen now possesed. "Ah it's you my friend long time its been since we had our encounter, How have I been? well i've gotten through my days pretty well. Oh here's something you'll laugh about, you know what? i'm working with your village through this whole war...... funny huh? yeah if you were still alive you and me wouldv'e probably been war comrades. I know it's stupid to bring these things up to you since there's really no point but I just wanted to tell you that i'm sincerely sorry things had to go as they did.... I understand it too was a time of war and you were only doing your countries will but through all that I consider you a friend and as long as you live in me through these eyes of mine or yours for that matter I will fight for the both of us and protect your homeland with my life. Well the times getting short and I have to meet up with some of your friends, maybe i'll be back someday but until then goodbye." Shen then turned and walked away his hand covering his face as he remembered the ninja.

Kobu walked silently through the village casually throwing four kunai into trees and in a flash teleporting to each of them within seconds using the technique he had mastered. "Why must I deliver this..... I'm not a barbaric ninja i'm a scientist!" complained Kobu.

A breeze ruffles through Nami's hair as she slowly walks up to the monument with the great shinobi's names who had sacrificed their lives. Each name a meaning.. each meaning a purpose.. each purpose a reason to lose their own lives before that of their comrades. Kneeling down on the ground the genin gently places the flowers down and whispers a soft prayer. An A rank mission usually involves serious injury or death... I best be careful from now on... Please watch over the leaf and all those who dwell in this land. Help guild them on their paths of the shinobi life...

Kobu smiled as he saw the girl pay her respects. "you know my great grandfather's name is one of those you are praising." spoke the man as he walked over to her.

If this stranger hadn't blocked out her memory Nami would be up on her feet ready to fight. Yet to her this was like the first time she confronts Kobu. The genin looks up to see him walking over and gets back up onto her feet, turning to him. On the contrary she didn't expect to see anyone out here. "Really? I'm sorry I didn't know that."

"Ah no problem...... I never liked him anyways, because of him and my grandfather I was always expected to be the next Hokage...... I hate them and I am actually happy they aren't here. I don't need them!" replied Kobu as he tried to choke back tears thinking of how he had never met them in life but had always looked to them as idols, yet because of them he was teased and tormented as a child.

I guess some families never have easy relations... Nami finds it hard to understand as she was raised where family meant everything. She didn't know what to say now. Shifting her backpack on her shoulders she turns to the monument again looking through all the names engraved. "I never got to know anyone past my grandparents... not even any names..."

"your one of the lucky people who don't have to live up to anything, you can live your life however you want and no one will ever question your motives." said the man as tears finally began to stream down Kobu's face as he remembered his past and broke down on the ground crying. The man hadn't really thought back on what he had done since he left Konoha but as he thought about it he felt a sense of guilt for betraying his home village and if anyone knew who he was that would make him an even greater disgrace than he had already been thought of.

The genin kneels down infront of him slightly shaking her head. "I have to live up to a lot more then you know," she speaks softly in disagreement. Gently she sits up a bit and places her hands in her lap. "If it means anything I'm on a long road myself to prove my worth to my village. Every move I make I know someone is watching, waiting for me to make a mistake," Nami begins to explain. "I know nothing of you but that doesn't mean I'm as free as a bird either."

"When your ancestors gave their lifes for their villages, do you think its fair that the same be expected of you? even if you don't share their same devotion?" replied Kobu.
