"watch your step" yeah, what good advice that would have been ten minutes ago when you stumbled through the trees and over the edge of a steep hill. As you take your gaze from your bruised body and take a look around you. the dirt in your eyes makes it somewhat hard to focus but, it seems you have landed in a veritable paradise. Water is everywhere, lichen and moss grow on almost every rock, giant fungi shake as you pass by as if warning you of their toxicity.many small and shallow caves and sinkholes persist in this land but few are deep enough to prevent light from passing through. Erosion has Long been working on this land as cliffs and waterfalls loom up and around. As you initial wonder subsides you realize it is raining as it almost always is in this place.
As you walk, breathing in the cool moist air you notice that, contrary to before, you are walking on hewn stone. Moss has largely covered these ruins but, they remain, still stalwart against the great forces that renew and reclaim this planet.ancient writing is carved on several walls. An odd feeling that something is watching you persists while you walk these ruins. You have found a hidden grove of abundant life but, if only you could have found it a less painful way.

this would have been the case had you found this place month's ago. Once an area of great beauty and age this forest suffered a perversion of self. An all infecting meteor made it's roost here and changed all that it touched into large brackish hungry things. Overly aggressive, the augmented creatures in this forest will attack anything on sight, whether or not they need to feed and thier added size makes a collision with one of these things deadly. Even the trees seem to despise your presence and would lead you off cliffs if you let them toy with you. These trees are not limited to mind games however, they are very capable of stealthily strangling you with thier vines and branches.
At the center of this forest lies a huge open clearing where the heart of this infection resided. The meteor was removed from this world in a collaboration of earth and wind clans.
