This is the Prologue/First Chapter to my fanfic.

Fanfic Title: Live Like An Egyptian

Prologue:

It starts when Yami begins unlocking the secrets of his hidden past. He starts by ascending the throne of Egypt and taking up the mantle of Pharaoh (sp?).

Once he does so he is astounded when he sees that people he knew in the 21st century also have Egyptian counterparts like Seto's counterpart High Priest Seto, or Ishizu being a member of his Sacred Court called Isis.

As he relives his memories he also sees that his 21st century girlfriend Sakura also has an Egyptian counterpart by the name of Sakara...and Sakara happens to be the most powerful woman in Egypt: The Queen! That surprises Yami more than anything else.

Now Yami must truly Live Like An Egyptian to reclaim his past and ensure that his future is safe from harm.

Okay...enough explaining....LET THE STORY BEGIN!

I'll put up the first chapter but that will be all until someone replies and says what they think of the fic ok?

Chapter One: The Journey Begins

Yugi and friends were taking the trip of a lifetime! They were going to Egypt, to the homeland of the Pharoah so that Yami could regain his lost memories.

When the gang reached the Cairo airport they looked all around in awe.

Then Yugi spotted a familiar someone. Actually 3 familiar someones: Marik, Ishizu, and Odion Ishtar.

"Yugi! Over here!" Marik yelled.

"Guys look!" Yugi said. "Its Marik!"

He went over to them along with the rest of the gang.

"Greetings Yugi" Ishizu said. "May I speak with the Pharoah?"

At once a bright light appeared and seconds later the Pharoah stood before her with a smile on his face.

"Ah my Pharoah...you have finally returned home after 5000 years...my brother and I are so honored to be your guides" Ishizu had a reverent look on her face.

Yami smiled. "The pleasure is mine"

At the Tablet of Lost Memories.....

The gang had finally made it. Through the door in front of them was the passage leading to the Tablet of Lost Memories and ultimately the way for the Pharoah to unlock what was lost to him.

Ishizu and Marik stood side by side.

"Only the Pharoah and his friends may enter...we cannot...farewell my Pharoah"

Yami turned to her and nodded, then proceeded to walk into the dark passageway.

As they walked on the passageway seemed to light up. Finally the Tablet was in sight. It was carved throughout with hieroglyphs and two figures. One was of a High Priest and the other was the Pharoah himself.

"What are you waiting for Yug?" Joey said. "Are you going or not?"

"Joey!" Tea exclaimed in an annoyed tone. She bopped him playfully on the head.

Joey simply grimaced and rolled his eyes.

"The prophecy says that once I raise the 3 Egyptian God cards to the Tablet...my memories will be unlocked" Yami said.

But just before he raised the cards to the tablet, his girlfriend Sakura walked up to him. Her eyes brimmed with tears and she seemed upset.

"What is wrong Sakura?" he asked.


"I...I...will miss you my Pharoah...my love" she said. She then leaned in close and gently kissed him. He embraced her and returned the kiss.

Yami then smiled and placed his hands on Sakura's shoulders making her step a couple steps back. She was forced to stare right into his eyes.

"And I you...Sakura" he sighed and then put a hand on her face. He wiped the tears from her eye.

"Cry not my love....I will never forget you. But you must promise me that you will take good care of Yugi and his friends while I am gone"

"I promise" she whispered. She hugged him one last time before stepping a good distance away from the Tablet.

Yami raised the cards up to the tablet and....

Suddenly a bright light filled the room and the Millenium Puzzle shaped glyph on the tablet brightened. Yami felt himself being lifted off of the floor and out of the Puzzle. He went right into the Tablet itself and seconds later he was gone.

But then another light blew into the Tablet. That light was Bakura, the 5000 year old King of Theives.

The journey of the Pharaoh had begun...his success or his failure had yet to be decided....his friends he had left behind would probably never see him again....but he would certainly remember them...especially Sakura...never would he forget her for it was she who unlocked the love in his heart and it was she who had always been by his side when his other friends could not be there and it was she who he would miss the most.
