(My favourite character is Death, he's so cool in "Reaper Man". Plus, he TALKS LIKE THIS. xd )

I've never heard of those before surprised What are they about?
I started on the His Dark Materials series because __penguin__ and Ariel Liane told me to. I give into peer pressure.

*Fakes a heartattack*
How can you not have heard of the Disc? Of Great A'Tuin? Of Rincewind the Wizzard? Of Sam Vimes? (Who is in fact the Duke of Ankh-Morpork, but don't ever remind him about it.)
Erh, best not to give you too many spoilers if you're going to read the series. sweatdrop (Which you're going to. I command it.)
It's extremely very plain funny. (Hey, I can't know if you'd choke on your own air like I so often nearly did, can I?)
Anyway: Wiki "Terry Pratchett" or "Discworld" and several pages will pop up, since there's more than 30 books by now. I think there is a couple of clips from the cartoon (not very well animated, but still worth a look) on youtube, and there's been made a movie over "Hogfather". (Discworld's answer to Santa Claus, also a title from one of the really good books. And yes, he has hogs.)

My first book was about a dog that had some silly name starting with "s". There were assignments to solve after you'd read it.
My teacher ran out of books, assignments and gold stars. stare
I was 7 and suddenly very, very bored.
(I still read fast, though even I have to admit that 1½ day isn't enough to get the full enjoyment of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. confused )

That's ok! And perhaps you've heard about Pratchett due to some of his childrens' books. ("Maurice and his educated rodents", I think one is called)

The book I bought last was Pendragon : Quillian Games in February. I got it because there was state testing going on at school and you were required to have a book for when you finished the portion of the test you had to do that day. I finished it after the test on the last day, I think... I kinda want to read the next Pendragon book(#8, not out yet) but I don't think I will until I have to for school. razz I don't like to read too much.

Either The Silver Pencil because it kept me interested in it for like a year because it takes me a month to read it, and so I read it for 12 times! (Which is rare)
Or, Juliet Dove, Queen of Love because it's all about Love, and the power of it, and stuff. <------- Currently reading.

Yes, Star, you must read His Dark Materials. But watch out. It just gets weirder and weirder.
I want to start Discworld because Terry Pratchett is amazing. heart (I read Good Omens.)
Eragon was okay, but Eldest was BAD.
I HATE ELVES! scream
My other favorite books are Sphere, Ender's Game, Bag of Bones, Where the Heart Is, Gone with the Wind, and House of Leaves.
And many others I can't think of.
Although with Gone with the Wind, I love it immensely and hate it with a fiery passion at the same time. I don't know if that's healthy.

Tashes, tashes... Hate is simply love with it's back turned. Do not fret.
Now, loving and loathing something at the same time is unhealthy.
