That's what my game Informer said about Xeno2 when they reviewed it and yes I am quite disappointed...the new battle system in Ep.2 has made each character completely loose all of the great personality they once had....The battles are now extremely repetative, find the break zone, stock up, and unleash a fury of attacks....and you dont have that multitude of different attacks to assaign and upgrade...it's just not near as fun as the first....no little special attacks like X*Buster or Angel Blow.....its all crap lol They better bring back the old system in Ep,3 or else -.- Also the idnentity crisis...it's terrible.....I believe they used the words "Bus-Station Skank" to describe Shion in the review

ANOTHER THING: The thing that got on my nerves the most!! The music was comically inappropriate, There would be a scene like.."Oh no, hes dead" or "Oh dear theres a big ship in front of us and we are all going to be sucked into a abyss and die" and then it goes to like moving around and stuff and we have this up-tep, fast beat-tiptoe through the tulips-happy go lucky music stare I slap them...

Game Informer sounds better than PSM. I was told by PSM that the new graphics were a good thing and that everyone would like the step-up from the old graphics. Then they proceeded to tell me in their review that new people would probably not like the game, but the fans of episode 1 would appreciate the new battle system and graphics and still like the game.... Bull! They gave it a 6/10. I guess I like the game but I gave up on it when I got stuck somewhere, (probably because I hate the battle system and this is the one game that I can't waste endless amounts of time on training, like I can with the first episode and Star Ocean, and most other RPG's). I even tried playing it where I left off, the boss kicked my a** too many times, so I stopped again. Its the boss in the flashback at the beach. I got stuck on the Cathedral boss and ended up replaying the whole game when I restarted it a year later. (Wait a sec, my time doesn't add up, I may have bought it a year later than I said in the other thread, or half a year). I had to wait a year because when I felt like playing again, my piece of s**t excuse for a PS2 wouldn't play it! So i had to wait for the slim line version. Then I beat it and all was good. Blasted through that Cathedral boss too. I would have played the other save file, except I lost my memory card it was on at the same time the new PS2 came out. Then I found it later, maybe I still got that old file, time to check!

I don't care if her past sucked, no reason to be so damn negative.

OMG... Shion said...
"Poor MOMO."

I hated the battle system in Ep.2. You have to do the same thing in every battle without a difference whether its a boss fight or a random encounter. I hate to say it ,but I used codes to get the double attacks so I could have more fun with the battle system. I love the new graphics though. 3nodding

I did not care much for the new fighting system in Ep2 other then the double team attacks. I did not care for Kos-Mos and Shion's new look at first but it grew on me. I wish Momo could have the ablity to switch from her rod to the bow. Kos-mos still had her X-buster but you had to stock up three time to use it. I did like the sound track and the animation. I did not like the way the cut done on areas you could travel to. In ep 1 you had six places to go on the durandal but only three in ep two.

I'm gonna have to agree and say that Xeno 1 battle style was much more fun and made the game alot better. Not that the new system was bad, just not nearly as good.
