She'd forgotten. Leboya had forgotten how her life had been before she'd brought her children home to live with the people she'd come to know as friends. She'd forgotten how to be independant of a pride. Most of all, she was fearing she was forgetting how to take care of her children. It was a horrifying thought for her. She'd become convinced that she was dipping too far into the memory of a male whom had called her a companion once in her life....

A man she saw shadows of in all of her children.. but most of all, her oldest son and youngest daughter.

He haunted her.

That was why she'd left without telling anybody, looming long enough for her children to see her, and follow if they wished to, before she left the beach to wander the lands. However, she couldn't help but feel guilty in having left her kids, feeling almost as if she'd ABANDONED them in some way. What more could she have done, though..? She was all but heartbroken and she needed to find a way to paste her life back together.

"Where the hell are we?" snapped a harsh voice, startling a bird from a nearby dry bush, the words obviously coming from a lion who was apparently well in the throes of fury. He'd seized control back from Na, only to find that they were nowhere near the pridelands. He assumed that Na had taken his consideration of a trip away much too seriously and now he had no clue how to get back.
"I..I...I...don't know." replied a much more nervous, shaky voice, but one which came from the exact same mouth as the previous one, identical in it's sound but not the way it was spoken. The source of the argument was a large male lion, as blue as the afternoon sky, who switched his posture every two minutes. "I...I thought you wanted to go?"
"It was not your decision to make, Na. You know that. I RUN THINGS. You chase butterflies like the retard you are. Now shut the hell up while I get us back on track before he finds us and kills us."

The shaky voice didn't comment further.

Instead he walked on angrily, tail lashing at his heels, trying to find where they had ended up.

While she did not hear the words themselves nor, at first, did she see anybody else out in the grasslands with her, Leboya's attention -was- caught by a bird which flew in such a panic, she couldn't help but lean away from it to prevent it smacking her right in the face. Her ears swiveled back a bit in confusion.

She'd never seen such behavior in the avian kind, it was... almost concerning to her. Only almost, because with such optimistic attitude as Leboya had on a normal basis, even at the lowest point of her life. Perhaps it had only been a loud noise, she decided. With that, the affair was quickly put out of her mind as she continued on at her own leisurely pace.

Leboya paused, however, but only for a moment as she looked on towards her aimless walking destination, spotting, without much effort as the being stuck out as horribly as she did in the grass, what the brightly colored lioness would happily assume to be a lost lion. Afterall, the ocean didn't exactly get many visitors way out in the where, as it wasn't exactly located near anything else. Even she had to make a point to get there at times.

Either way, her cheerful nature took over, bidding her to greet the stranger as she would any other being, stranger, friend, enemy (not that she had any to her knowledge..), and the like.

"Good day to you!" she semi-yelled, though it was more like she was simply talking loudly as she approached him with possibly more bounce in her step then she had before.

Leboya -loved- meeting new people in the same peppy optimistic way a child would have.

Red was not so warm to meeting new lions. Or at least, not warm in an honest and friendly way. To him, all new aquaintences were there to be exploited for whatever they were worth, tools to use against Na-be, to make him suffer. He showed none of this externally, however, except for a certain chilliness to his amber gaze and stiffness n he way he walked. He looked Leboya over once before making the decision that Na-Be could be forced into the situation for now, make him seem less threatening. A wicked grin curved across his face and all at once, the coldness faded, replaced by confusion and wonder. His grin broadened out and became more honest.
"Hey!"

Na called back, looking extatic to meet another lion out here, totally unaware of whatever intentions Red had for him, hardly able to see the nastiness in the other personality's actions. As usual he was swept up in his swirling world of colour, futures, pasts and presents all mixed up together before his eyes, totally ignored by his childish thoughts.
He laughed, nodding his head in greeting

"Nice ta meet ya!"

He had no idea that Red casually looked on.

Oh! He was friendly too! That was -always- a bonus to Leboya whom was oblivious to any ill intentions as well, though her own gift whould have taken que to them. Perhaps because they were not directly upon her right then would serve as the reason this didn't occur.

Not that she'd been expecting anything.

"Nice t'meet you too!" she beamed in response, grinning, sitting back in the grass in a sort of semi-casual manner before lifting a paw to bat it at him in a sort of curious yet good-natured manner. "Did you get lost out here?" she inquired, one ear sticking up, the other flopped back in an almost unatural pose. "Or where you heading towards the ocean?" she added to her questioning, looking over one shoulder to point towards where she'd just came from herself. "'cause the ocean is over that way... so I can't imagine any other reason you'd be out here." the lioness said in explanation behing the reasoning of her inquiries.

She then looked at his pelt in a sort of admiration. ".. You're the first lion I've met with as odd a pelt color as me~." she then stated, almost randomly. For her, however, it was worth pointing out.

Na remained relaxed and easy going, fidgeting around as though he had too much energy he just wanted to run off. As he shifted from foot to foot, the feathers on the necklace strung round his neck glittered and danced.

"Lost?" he shook his head "Not lost, just....don't know where I am. Can't find the pridelands, think I'm a bit far away. Red wasn't happy." he grinned "M'always happy though!" he followed her paw to peer in the direction of this mysterious ocean, thinking of it bringing to the fore of his mind odd dreams he'd had in the past, of salty gritty, wet places with noisy birds and blue. "Never seen an ocean before. Is it tasty?" he asked with a cheerful smirk "Cause I like tasty things. Sounds salty though."

At the mention of his fut though, he blinked at himself, as if seeing his colouration for the first time. He wrinkled his nose. The only thing Na himself disliked was his colouration. "I'm not as pretty pretty shiny as you miss. I'm just the same colour as my dad. Dad is a bad lion. Bad bad lion." his gaze lingered on the feathers. "Bad."

"Not easy to get munchies either looking like this."

His thought pattern was endearing to her, being a mother of four, though it was quite different from those of her young as well. "Then you're lost, sweetie.." she said in reply to his explanation that he just didn't know where he was, reaching out with a paw to paw his shoulder in a 'there there' sort of way. "Pridelands? I went there once." she mused, standing up again and nudging his side. "I could help you find them again if you need." she offered, pondering, internally, who this 'Red' was, though she could only presume another lost soul who this strange had gotten separated from.

"Being happy is a good outlook, helps things along." Leboya said, grinning. "The ocean is a big body of water, and it is salty. It, in itself, is not tasty, but it's full of things that are." she noted, wondering why he spoke the way he did. It was almost like he was abused as a child, and the scars on his body, noticeable only if she leaned to one side, sort of told of that being a possibility as well.

"You look like your dad? I look more like my mom." she noted, again taking into stride that dad was 'bad' and everything else she was pasting as abuse. It made her want to hug him and cry.

She couldn't help but laugh a bit at his last statement about 'munchies', nodding a bit in agreement. "Perhaps you should try getting munchies from out of the water, or late at night when you look darker and fit in with everything else moreso then when things stick out. It works for me just fine~" she explained, before offering a paw in a sort of handshake.

"I'm Leboya."

Na's ears perked up and he looked much happier at the prospect of being able to return to the pridelands. If he got back, Red wouldn't have to be angry any more.

We aren't going back, nimrod. You made your bed, now you will sleep in it. Mrost knows we were in the pridelands. He doesn't know where we are out here.

Na shook his head "Thankyou very much, but I don't think I'll be going back to the pridelands now. Red said he didn't want to. I suppose I am lost, don't know where I'm meant to be." he looked fairly happy about this fact though. "Means I get to see lots of things. Where are you going? Can I come with you?" his questions were partially suggested by Red but well meaning.

He liked the sound of the ocean though. "Food from the water? You can get that?" he looked surprised "Wow! I should tell Red, he does most of the hunting. Says it makes him happy happy happy." he shook her paw gratefully with his own surprisingly well-muscled one and all but sung

"I'm Na-Be, though you can call me anything at all."

"Except Red, of course." Red drawled as an afterthought.

"Oh."

It was a bit of a simple reply to the correction to her assumption that he would have liked to go back to where it was he'd come from, but it was a sensible enough correction that she didn't feel stupid for having assumed otherwise. Perhaps she should have asked first. "Me?" she seemed surprised by the inquiry of where -she- was going, taking the time only now to consider where on earth it was she was actually going.

"I'm not sure where I plan to be going.. but I do recall having seen a jungle once upon a time.. I might just go back there." she considered out loud, possibly expecting some input on the suggestion. "But I wouldn't mind the company, no matter where I decide to go." Leboya added, beaming.

Leboya couldn't help but laugh, again, at his surprise at hearing there was food in water. "Yep! Fish. They squirm around like this.." she held up both of her paws and did a messed up squiggly squirming motion which was meant to represent the motion of these 'fish' she spoke of.

"At least the ones you wouldn't need to dive a bazillion feet into the ocean to catch... you can't really catch the food in the ocean, so I've settled for rivers and stuff, see?" she explained.

Her expression became confused at the slight, yet seemingly noticeable, change in Na as he added that she wasn't allowed to call him Red. "... Well, I think 'Na-Be' is a fine name anyways, so I'll just call you that~"

"A jungle?" Na raised his eyebrows "I used to live outside a jungle" he looked proud about this fact, only to falter a bit and admit "There wasn't much to eat, but it was pretty. I think I used to live in that jungle a long time ago. I remember it. Sort of." he had only lived amidst the mistweavers for a short time before his mother left him at the outskirts, he'd only survived thereafter because of Red's appearance in his head. "I'd love to come with you, wherever you go!" he bounced.

"Maybe you could show me how to catch fishies sometime?"

"Really?" she replied, smiling meekly. She herself had liked the jungle when she'd been there, and had met many an amazing person there as well. It was, to say, rather nice, looking back at it. "Well, jungle or not, company is always welcome." It felt like she had just repeated herself.

But reinforcing welcome company wasn't a bad thing, she felt.

Nudging his shoulder a bit she rose again to walk. "We can always get walking now, if you'd like." she offered. It was almost creepy how openly she allowed herself company. Especially company she knew nothing about. Besides he used to live in a jungle, had some association with one called 'Red', and that he wanted to learn how to catch fishies.

"Perhaps along the way, we'll come across a river, and I can help you catch some fishies." she added on the end.
