He went with Orochimaru because he promised Sasuke power, so that Sasuke could kill his brother Itachi.

Sadly power is very important to Sasuke-kun. I hope that after Sasuke-kun kills Itachi-teme he goes back to Kohona.....yeah that is my wish......either that or Naruto-kun and Sakura-san will drag him back.

All for the power. Sasuke went to that evil man all for the power. sweatdrop Poor Sakura and Naruto not to mention Kakashi must feel bad. It was me I'd be more angry than anything else. Have to admit that Naruto and Sakura really cares for him even if it seems onesided. Sasuke did care but he wants to cut all ties which is weak in sense.

Sasuke did go for power.....*sigh* But in a Shippuden episode Kakashi only needed to say his name and they were in a depression. So you can tell they aren't taking this well

They both cared about him a lot. Team Seven was like a happy little mini-family. When you lose a much-loved family member, it's never happy.
