Now I need a little help and I figure someone here could do the trick.
Story one: My Rules of the Rose Fic - I've had a few people state an interest in my writing more of this story, however I wish to educate myself more about 1930s England before entering the next leg of the story for you see there are some points that the game left vague and I think I have an idea what happened. I was looking for info on the history of child abuse crimes in England, but soon found out that child abuse was not really dealt with until the late 70s. The thing is I've read that in the early 1900s there was one major case that changed the laws in the States, it is sickening to think that animals had more rights then children back then, and it was explained that it took a long time for people to believe that parents could be abusive to their children so nothing was done about it until much later.
What I want to know is did the police, or anyone, get involved if it was a teacher or doctor that was abusing a child. The reason I need this info is because in the game the head of the Orphanage, who is the teacher and doctor, was sexually abusing the kids, even though they did not come out and say it right out it is rather clear. Anyways, he suddenly ran away from the orphanage for some unclear reason and I wish to know if it might have been because the police were around due to the case of missing children and he fled because he thought they were after him. I also need any info on orphanages from that era as well. If someone could help me with this I would be grateful.
Story Two: Tales of a Trickster - Kim and I have been playing an online game called Trickster for the passed week or so and I had this silly idea to write a story involving our characters and this silly world. I ended up writing several pages when I realized that there is no plot to the game and therefor no plot to the story I'm writing and this got me stuck. The game has you searching for treasure as a glorified errand boy as you run around beating up on monsters and digging for junk. The web site states there is a story but it is so confusing and does not really follow the game at all. So what I need is ideas for a plot for a silly fantasy story dealing with animals that pose as humans in order to go on quests.
