The Beat
On Friday I went to a mixed (but mostly gay) nightclub with some friends. We were there from 10 until 4.30, and it was really good fun.
At around 2 or 3, I walked out of the bathroom, and saw one of my friends talking with a girl with dreadlocks. When I came over, the dreadlocked girl said, "Hi. Wanna nosh?"
"Um," I replied, "why?" Then, "Okay."
She was the most amazing kisser. Two-ish hours later I detached myself from her face.
[Edit: we went on one very confusing (but pleasant enough) date. Neither of us followed up. Met a few other girls in the interim, nothing too exciting. Then Cinders. Read on.]

WELL!
Friday 25th of May
I run into a beautiful girl I'd met a couple of weeks before. She is still beautiful, and is talking to ME. I panic, run away, return, panic, run away...
Oh dear.
And then today, 29th of May
I have my final lecture of the semester, with this girl (mentioned above). I manage to NOT run away, and have a chat, and even sit with in her in the lecture. She is gorgeous, a Buddhist and smells delicious. She has tiny hands like mine.
I asked if she had time for a coffee after the lecture, but it was nearly 7 pm, and she said she had to get home, write an assignment. I should have just asked for her number.
But I didn't.
I don't know when I'll see her again; she's doing a different course from me, and I don't see her around often. I really would like to get to know her.
[Edit: I managed to contact her, and we're friends now. She had a girlfriend anyway - but if it weren't for feeling grumpy about not talking to her after that lecture, I would never have had the guts to talk to Cinders on the bus...]
BUT THEN on the bus this evening, coming home, a pretty girl sat in front of me, with a friend. She was ranting about women the same way I did. So I wrote a note:
Hi. My name is [Fizzlesticks] and I've decided to be a bit primary school and write a note. I'm thoroughly enjoying eavesdropping on your conversation; you sound just like me and my friends. Why don't you call me: [insert number here].
And I gave it to her as she got off, with the warning: "This is my one slightly risky amusement for today - don't open it until you're off the bus; it'll self-destruct. As the bus drove off I saw her bouncing around the bus stop with note in hand.
She texted me about 10 minutes ago. Lololololol.

Right. I have devised a nickname for my ladyfriend. Considering her family, she shall hereby be called Cinders (it's really true, too - stepmother, two crazy sisters...). Anyway. This is my new...

I shan't bother you with the details of our dates; I've lost track of how many we've been on. I'm going to get rid of all those posts. I'm just going to tell you how <******** awesome she is. Ahem.
I've deleted a lot of stuff about previous trysts (after printing it all out and saving the details for my diary - because I'm sure I'll find it an entertaining read in the future. Right now there's a few things there I want to forget about, and I'm sure you can't be bothered reading (and fair enough!)
First date with Cinders was June 3rd, for reference.

I really like this girl, but not in the usual fangirly way. This is slower and...I don't know, just all warm and fuzzy.
She's so beautiful.
July 1st
Turned up at Cinders' workplace on Friday with a long-stemmed red rose; she thought it was very sweet and gave me a chocolate sardine for my efforts (bit of an in-joke there).
July 17th
Cinders & I have been dating for a month & a half. How time flies.
