but you said we had to be literate>.< if we have to be than you do to!!!^_^sorry
sweatdrop because i am very lazy with typing and i have to type out everything
xd True. But there's a difference.
I don't use *swt* in my conversations. It's kind of an after-sentence action, like lol, bbl, wtf, btw... things like that I don't mind. I even use them all the time.
What I'm talking about is using 'u' for you, or 'r' for are, '1' for won etc.
For me -someone who doesn't read chatspeak on a daily basis- reading stuff in chatspeak can take several minutes, when otherwise it would only take a few seconds. It's annoying, and more than not when I see someone write in chatspeak, not only are their words misspelled, they type so fast that even their sentence structure becomes horrible, and thus, the sentence unreadable ( to me ).
Also, when I see chatspeak, I automaticly see spam. No matter how many words you got in there, if it looks like a bunch of jumbled up letters are numbers, then it's not worth my time to read. I also feel, if someone is typing in chatspeak, then they don't have anything important to say. So an advantage to taking your time and writing neatly is more people are likely to read your posts.
Another thing, I don't understand why you must rush your typing. This is a forum, not AIM, which is the beauty of it. You can take your time and type what you want to say and the topic will still be the same when you're finished.
As a last note, I was joking when I said I was too lazy to type out *sweat* instead of *swt*.
sweatdrop I really don't know why I started typing it that way, I just always have, and it kind of stuck, I suppose.
