well it depends on what kind you mean? the traditional types of myth, legend and lore, night stalking monsters charming women with their supernatural goods looks only to drain their blood with a bite on the neck, old hags with warty faces living in huts out in the woods and flying brooms at night and curse people while making packs with the devil? no, they don't exist. not like that anyway

The notions of vampires and witches that were so abundant in the past certainly shaped history. In that sense, to say they don't exist would be to ignore the effects they had. They existed as folklore, rumours and superstitions. I doubt any of those creatures actually physically exists to the extremes Jivundus mentioned. Of course there are individuals who practice magic, or have blood disorders, but beyond that... It's just buying in to all of those notions to say they're literally real.

well then i guess i'm clinically insane, because i whole-heartedly believe that such beings DO exist, even though they are definitely nothing like the fairy-tales. then again, i'm the one who will never grow out of my belief in magic or any other beliefs some will call childish...
