Or at least the original role playing sub-forum is
So, in order to make an attempt at saving it, I shall be putting up a whole bunch of role plays for you all to join!
However, I'm not slacking on the rules and details of the story or the profile sheets just because I made this up out of the blue. This is a LITERATE role play. If you do not know what literate is, then you shouldn't be trying to join this role play!

~*::Story::*~
Vampires and Humans are sworn enemies. Without the humans' blood, the Vampires cannot continue life. By giving life to the Vampires, humans lose theirs. Long ago a terrible curse was given.
It all began in an ancient war between the Vampires, Humans, and Half Breeds. Finally tired of the fighting, the Gods stepped in and stood in the way of the Vampires' sure victory. They placed a curse upon a group of the most powerful of them, saying that from then on, they would have but one purpose: to each watch over their own human. The human that they were assigned would be the reincarnates of the humans in power during the war.
These humans would be given purification powers to send the Vampires to hell, should the Vampire Guardian try to bite the reincarnate without a mutual feeling returned from the human. Humans can not be turned, but instead become their Guardians eternal slave or a companion, as the Vampire chooses upon their release of the curse.
The humans were chosen for a specific reason. They all need help in one way or another. Whether it be drugs or alchohol addiction, family problems, being prone to violance, or something else. For the Vampires to be released from their curse, there must be an obvious change in the charge's life. Until then, the Vampire is bound to them.
The Vampires, on the opposite, must learn their lesson. Throughout their lives, they had committed terrible acts of violance, cruelty, or any of the other Natural Laws that were laid down by the Gods at the beginning of time. They were each given a human that would, somehow, teach them what they needed to move on.
But this war came to an end hundreds of years ago, so the cursed Vampires were forced to wait until their charges were born. They were to always keep an eye on them from the distance, but on their sixteenth birthday, the Vampire was allowed to approach the human. They had until the end of their twenty-first year, and if they didn't, then the Gods would consider that a lack of attentiveness and care and would send them to hell as punishment.
The conditions of the curse were as follows: The Vampire must not fall in love with his or her charge. If they do, they are sent to hell with no chance of escape. The human is free to care for the Vampire if they wish, but it can never be returned.
The Vampires cannot hurt or endanger their charge.
The final condition ensures that the Vampires will be motivated to protect their charges. Because if the humans die...The Vampires die...
~*::Setting::*~
The story takes place is a small town called Coven in the middle of a small mountain valley somewhere in the Rockies. The town isn't very popular for tourists, so it isn't very developed. Everyone in the town knows nearly everyone else. There are few that are strangers to anyone, and even fewer newcomers. Nothing of any importance ever happens, other than holidays. But that occurs everywhere else as well, so there's really nothing special about it.
Trees surround the city and go most of the way up the sides of the mountains. To the east of the town is a lake, almost one hundred feet deep and one hundred and fifty feet wide. It was formed by a meteor a long time before the town was founded. Since then, men have worked to expand it, but they are only responsible for how wide the lake is. Or at least, that's what everyone says it was. No one really knows for sure.
Being so high up in the mountains so late in the year, the sun is hidden away longer than it would be elsewhere. Also, there is frequent cloud cover due to the snowfall that happens often.
The current setting
It's around 11 o'clock on a Saturday morning. The sky is covered in a think layer of grey clouds, a cool wind is blowing, and snow seems to be in the forecast for later in the day.

1.) Follow all of the guild rules and Gaian rules, but that goes without saying.
2.) No killing without permission from the person you want to kill and from me. Fighting is okay.
3.) Be literate. I know we all make mistakes, but please. For everyone's sanity, post no less than 4 sentences per post and at least try to spell correctly.
4.) PM me your profile with the title "Love bites...Literally"
5.) Try to keep OOC posts to a minimum. I'll start an OOC thread once the role play gets a good start.
6.) Don't go overboard on the quotes. We're not little children. It isn't necessary.
7.) Romance is greatly encouraged, of course.
8.) This is a long term role play, so no ditching. Pretty please?
9.) You can have 3 characters in all. One main character and two extra characters. You can have two main characters, but not two of the same kind. So that means you can have one human and one vampire. Or you can have three extras, but you can't have more than two mains.
10.) I am God in this role play! What I say goes. I have the right to add, remove, and/or change rules as I see fit. I can also ban people should they upset me, so behave!
11.) Anyone can fall in love with anyone. MainxMain, ExtraxExtra, or MainxExtra. It really doesn't matter.

Ever since her mother passed away, she had gone into a deep sadness. She slits her wrist, has sleeping disorders needing to take pills for going to fall asleep each night, and has even thought of death as a solution to her sadness. However, she pretends she's not and always seems happy. She supports herself with the money her grandparents send every two weeks, In front of other people Missy appears to be happy-go-lucky and always seems to support a smile. She is one who loves to talk non-stop. Missy will even try to cheer someone else up should she ever see someone sad. She cares plenty for other's well being and always tried to help people despite being a depressed girl who feels sorry for herself in secret. Bio: Her father was a druken bum who had left Missy's mother when she was born. Her mother raised her single handedly with great love and compassion. She would read Missy many stories of princesses who lived perfect lives. Missy thought of her life with her mother as perfect just like in the story books despite the great lack of money. One day, her 'perfect life' was shattered into a million pieces. When Missy was ten, she found her mother dead on the living room floor. The doctor explained the the little girl that her mommy had a sick heart and that it couldn't beat anymore because it was so sick. It took three years of therapy before Missy would even speak again, another two months before she would smile. After another week, Missy pretended that nothing bad had ever happened. Missy loves telling people about how perfect her life really is, despite her mother's death. She remained in school to keep up the apperance of a normal girl. Her teachers however, noted that her marks were severely low and she risked failing. Missy's grandparents who live in a large city a few countries over offered to let Missy live with them, but she refused to leave the home her mother had left for her. instead, they support her with 2000$ they send every two weeks. The only thing she had ever used the money was for paying the house bills. The rest of the money was kept in a small bank account. Missy didn't know exactly how much there was in there after so many years of putting the half away or what she was going to use it for in the future. Appearance: MissyGuardian: To Be Assigned

Note: I got most of these from Twilight. If you haven't read the series, you should. It's good. Stephanie is a very good author.
Vampires don't burn in sunlight. They glitter brilliantly when the sun touches them, and so they avoid it all costs. If they don't, their secret may be found out and it will cause trouble if the hunters find them.
Holy water does not affect them. Nor do crosses or stakes.
Vampires don't sleep in coffins. Or anywhere, actually. They can't sleep.
They do show up in pictures. They do not blur out the photo or simply disappear.
Vampires can cross running water and enter a house uninvited.
Vampires are poisonous. If they choose to, they can inject a paralyzing toxin into the body of their victims. They can also inject a toxin that numbs the pain of the bite.
Vampires are born, not made. Humans can only be given immortality. They do not change their original nature.
If a Vampire and a Human fell in love, the product would be a Half-Breed. Half-Breeds feed like Vampires, but not as often. They are usually more human-like in their appearance, not as strong or as fast, and they can sleep if they want to, though it isn't necessary. (No one in this role play will be a Half-Breed.)
If there are any myths that you have heard of about Vampires that I have missed, then please mention them to me.

Physical Characteristics of Vampires:
Vampires have very white teeth.
They are usually pale, and their hair colors and eye colors vary more than any humans would.
Their fangs are just slightly elongated and pointed.
Vampires are physically attractive to their prey.
Natural Abilities of Vampires:
Eye-uncatchable speed and inhuman strength come standard.
Their senses of sight, hearing, and smell are all much more sensitive than our own.

Bio:Alfred Hoover was known by the name "butcher" for in his past life his Ville had been overrun by Vampires during the war, the tithe was hell to pay, but he resisted against the vampires gathering a militia of vampires and half breeds burning every stead that had the trace of the vile vermin attached to it.He was killed when the local Vyre gang assasanated him at a peace rally at nearly the endof the war by a renegade vampire in the audeince.Now he is eighteen and lives in the small town of Cloven, his life empty, he has no reason to live.But by the time he gets up the courage to take his father's revolver to his temple, his guardian approaches him through the door of his room,,,,,,

Bio biggrin rava was once a Naive farmboy he cannot remember his parents, his siblings, but he can only remember his Father trying to keep the demons at bay with his small knife.His last name was gained when a Vampire came in faster than all the others, grabbed what was left of his father's family crest, ripping in the same fluid motion.He was raised by the vampire as a human for several weeks, but when the vampire had been nearly killed by his master, because by raising the young boy, he was considered a Vyre in his Province,(Resistor) which was not allowed, well in order for Drava to escape the income patrol, he bit him and made him a Vampire and 10 years later the "butcher" rose up the ranks of the Human Resistance in the region, and Drava wanted revenge.All he has to remind him of his past life is a cloth with the letters, "Ho" on a stretched line, (not spoiling it).
