With the fifth movie and final book being released this summer, I was just curious who else was a fan of the book series? Personally, I love them! People laugh because I'm 22 and read a "kid's book" but I think it's something for all ages.

I love the books- the writing style is really good! After the first time I read one of the books, though, I can never read it straight through again- just from certain parts. ^^
My eight-year-old brother's a GIANT fan of the series! He loves them and reads them ALL the time!!!

I think it's too predictable... Then again, I did write a part of a story where a little girl and old woman were talking around the fire and the little girl shoved the old woman into the fire and thought it was too predictable.

I'm a HUGE fan of Harry Potter. I can remember half of the characters in the story pretty well. I could remember them all, but I often studder at trying to remember their names. x.x I talk about Harry Potter a lot too.

I don't think they're predictable at all. JKR is good at keeping you interested and keeping you guessing.
Hmm... I'm not reading anything at the moment. Maybe I should re-read 5 and 6 so I'm all refreshed for the movie and final book.

I'm going to reread the entire series before the last book comes out, and I'm going to go to the midnight madness thing if I can. biggrin I'm a giant fan. Then again, I turn into a fangirl over stuff pretty easily, so... Yeah.
I like how she foreshadows so many events, or at least hides important information way before people know to look for it. Sirius is mentioned in the first chapter of the first book, and Dumbledore mentioned the Room of Requirement long before anyone knew that it was the Room of Requirement. whee I love stuff like that. I do the same thing in my novels.

heart Neville! heart ...I'm a Neville fangirl. I'm also a Luna fangirl. I don't ship the two of them -- they have enough pairing possibilities as it is -- but I love them both as individuals. Neville's so sweet and awkward... If I went to Hogwarts, I'd be his best friend. Luna's just nutty, and it's brilliant. Like the Quidditch match. That was fun. 3nodding So I'd be her best friend, too. I also like the twins, because of their fight against Umbridge. whee That made them my heroes! Ginny's nice, but she's not a favorite. Something falls flat about her with me. I think it's because she was Harry's girlfriend, and that makes me cynical about her. What a shame... ...Sleep sounds nice. I just thought that I should warn you all that I'll be vanishing for a few weeks, with only roleplaying posts when I can get them together. Awwe, Neville is so cute. He tries so hard. You gotta give him lots of credit. I think the boy who plays him in the movies is too funny, too. Like in Goblet of Fire when he's practicing dancing before the ball. rofl He's in his jammies and those shinny dress shoes. Gotta love it!

I like harry potter alot but there are still things i like better. i just don't like it when people call it the "best fantasy book" and what not. have they read fanaty books in french spanish in german? I think not!I mean neither have but still. Also, I mean the best book depemnds on her personality and your ability to enjoy that particular book. i enjoy fanatsy alot and i don;'t really have a favorite book. If i did i'm not nusre if it would a harry potter book.

heart Herms is my favorite character
I absolutely love Hermione. She's smart, always picked on (like me stressed ), funny, and tries so hard to help the elves. I'd probably do the same. xp Then again, I'll hold back and let the elves do their job.
I have been liking Dobby the House Elf for a while. He's funny, a bit annoying, but funny. I love the Weasley Twins as well as Hagrid the Keeper of Keys.

uhh...hehe...ok fine, my favorite charachter is tonks ^.^
anyways, i think the books are pretty good. not a big fan of the main character but thats just me.
