That is an amazingly lengthy list. XDDD I'm going to have to look at all of those someday, as now I'm curious. As well, this should be stickied as a resource. :]

Ha! Guess it is. I like re-reading stuff every once in a while, so keeping a list of the stuff that I consider to be worth re-reading is useful. XP Been a while since I went looking for more good stories, though. They're rare. And before you can find even one, you have to slug through 10, 20, maybe even 50 bad ones, and that's not counting the ones you dismiss as soon as you read the summary. Which is obviously majorly frustrating. So ... since I got lucky and found a few totally awsome writers who either post new stuff relatively frequently or have posted a lot of stuff already, and an online magazine of sorts that turns out a few good pieces during each update as well, I've gotten pretty lazy about branching out. >.>; (Hence my asking for recs.)

Hi!

*laughs* I was thinking about making a post similar to this since I love reading original slash fiction and ebooks; I'm really glad you've done it!!

Thank you for all the recs/links!!! heart

You even have 'Rainbow' by Amaretto on your list!! I read that years ago and then lost it when I moved. I didn't have the internet for a long time and when I finally got it, I couldn't find this fic!! I'm really happy to have found it again. (haha, sorry, I ramble a lot sometimes.... sweatdrop )

Sorry, I haven't any recs at the moment. Any recs I've written down are currently on another computer (this one's at his end); the ones I do remember (DomLuka) are already here. ^^

Actually ... out of all of Amaretto's fics, Rainbow is probably one of the ones that I liked least. (Which says a lot about how much I like the rest of her stuff, since it's still one of my favorites. <3) I love her Lost Gods stories. And everything she and Tygati wrote for the Kidnapped universe. And her Fairytales. And she usually posts new stuff at least once or twice a week on her LJ. *_*

What e-books have you read?
PostPosted: Mon Apr 30, 2007 6:44 pm

Oh really? *laughs*

Well, when I first read Amaretto's 'Rainbow' it was the only thing she had written/posted (it was published in 2003).

And LJ wasn't nearly the power-house it is today. I think it was still invite only; almost no one had one.

I haven't had a chance to read anything else she'd done; I'm sure she's improved a lot! I look forward to reading; thanks again for the recs.

E-books, e-books...gods, I can't remember off the top of my head. Probably stuff you wouldn't like if you're not into yaoi, which tends to have the weepy uke thing going.

I don't care for the weak and weepy uke/sub/bottom/whatever (I prefer mine to kick a**), but I've found I'm way more tolerant of it than some may be. Though...I'm pretty easily pleased, so... ^^;

(Though, I know I had to stop reading one because the uke was...giddy and clumsy and I was like WTF? I couldn't imagine a grown man acting that way... stressed )

Again, titles are on my other computer. I'll have to get back to you; sorry!!!

jmsnyder.net

I haven't bought any of her real e-books, but I have downloaded her free ones (short stories).

I've only read 'Skaterboy' and part of 'Cowboy' (I moved computers mid-way through that one), but I've liked what I've read so far.

That is an amazing list. I just have one question-- is it all male/male, or is there some lesbian 'fic in there too? And if so, could you sort it out so people can tell?

(And if not, does anyone have recommendations? biggrin )

I believe the fiction on that list is all slash (male/male).

I tried googling, but didn't find a whole lot, I'm afraid. sad

Deviant Hearts: Shoujo-ai, Yuri, Femslash and Subtext Fanfiction

Shoujo-Ai Archive

These archive sites are mostly fanfiction, I think, but there's some original fiction too. I don't know how good anything is though, as I don't really read a whole lot of femslash/yuri/lesbian fiction.

I'll be sure to keep a look out, though. wink There's probably something on fictionpress or LJ.

Uniquely Pleasurable
Links and reviews for original slash fiction, art and other media.

I've just joined so I don't know all that it contains, but it seems good. ^_^

Correct.

All of the stories here are f/f. Haven't read them myself, but the magazine turns out good m/m stories often enough, so I'm sure that at least a few of these are good too?

I don't care for the weak and weepy uke/sub/bottom/whatever (I prefer mine to kick a**)
I was about to say that I prefer equality. I.e. No uke/seme distinction at all. But then I realized that most of Amaretto's stuff has it and I still love it. >.>; So ... I prefer no distinction, yes, but if the author is good and the story is good and the seme isn't a total macho and the uke isn't weak/weepy/girly/hyper, I'm more than willing to make an exception. XDD; (Especially if it's a fantasy/sci-fi story rather than a real-world one.)

Wow, I'm just coming to the end of my exams, so that list is just what I need whee

Also here is a list of fiction by Radclyffe, who writes lesbian romance, it's pretty good, though I don't like her stuff as much as Karen Kallmakers stuff (which unfortunatly is not on the internet sad )

Here's one I'd recommend. PL Nunn has self-published works... and she's a fabulous writer. She's got a lot of fanfiction and a few originals on her website. The main page of where her stories are is:

http://bishonenworks.com/fiction_new/main/index.php

My current favorite of her story is currently Bloodraven. But it contrains very explicit material, such as non-consensual sexual themes and major character abuse and such. But it's so good. sad

Warning: Most of her works do contain rape. I'm just warning you to read her warnings. She means what she says.

*slaps forehead* Why didn't I think of her?! I love PL Nunn! ^__^

Both 'Dynasty of Ghosts' and 'Bloodraven' are excellent reads.
(...As is everything else.... ^^)

Wow, this is awesome. I think I'm going to be cancelling my social life (wait, what social life?) to read all of these xd

I'm almost to the end of an online story I didn't see on the list, called Just Hit 'Send'. It starts out slow and has a lot of amateurish character-development, but I stuck with it and was ultimately hooked. You can find it here: Just Hit 'Send' It's a feel-good fluffy story, but also has lovable supporting characters and an interesting plot.
Also of interest is the content from the website owner, who writes of his life, and particularly his obsession with a childhood schoolmate. Kind of creepy if you read through it, but also fascinating.
