I hope you're joking because that could get you killed rather quickly. There's an ongoing discussion as to what genre they fall under, but it's most certainly not nu-metal. Industrial, sure. Metal, with industrial influences, absolutely.

They are one of the only bands that can succesfully pull off what they've done. If you compare each CD to the one that came out next--Herzeleid to Sehnsucht to Mutter to Reise, Reise; Forgoing LAB since it was live--you can tell how their sound has evolved with each release.

In short, Rammstein is Rammstein. It might seem like a cop-out, but it's the only way to classify them without all this labeling that goes on. Besides, I think it's kind of petty to sit around and argue a moot point when you either like them or you don't.

I almost find Ramnstein as well to my ears a form of Robotic Metal. It's a genre all on it's own.
And as Olath said, Ramnstein is Ramnstein. They can't be really classified.

Rammstein: nu-metal?! A bounty has now been placed on your head. I agreee that it is kind of hard to catagorize them, but I've always just called them Industrial. *shrugs*

Te responses in this thread are sickening. They don't have a ******** thing to do with metal. Industrial is a fitting genre description, however mallcore/nu-metal is much more fitting than metal.

Industrial, I always found that Rammstein was kinda good but yea easy to classify, you try classifying idiot flesh or mr.bungle or Propaan/Butaan. Sure Rammstein has metal influneces but not enough to change its musical genre

I'd say prog metal. I like them, but all of their songs/albums are identical.
