.. What really annoys me is when Malfoy and Snape are out-of-character. I notice this alot in DM/HP and SS/HP fics, unfortunately... It takes alot for that sort of thing to work in a story.. It has to be long and convincing. Ironically, when it does work, it's magnificent, and that particular fic ends up turning into a favorite.
I also don't like it when a main character is incredibly suicidal.. It's a bit wrong of me to say this, but it's really annoying. In small doses, it works, but it usually ends up getting on my nerves.
Same with smut. When it's actually part of the story, I can deal. When it's maddeningly repetitive, I end up losing interest.
I don't like it when Sirius comes back from the dead, either. Just because..

Hmmm...I also can't stand OOC...sometimes. wink What I really hate is the 'like oh my godz!!!11!1 harry and draco were walking down the hall and acedentally fainted! And bam! They were like in a different world!!! or They woke up and were like wow your hawt!' kind of fic's... xp I also hate when they make Draco the needy one.. I'm a major needy Harry fic reader. I mean COME ON! What does Draco have aganst Harry's angst? ....That's right....Nothing! cool

La Mort de Madame Hmmm...I also can't stand OOC...sometimes. wink What I really hate is the 'like oh my godz!!!11!1 harry and draco were walking down the hall and acedentally fainted! And bam! They were like in a different world!!! or They woke up and were like wow your hawt!' kind of fic's... xp I also hate when they make Draco the needy one.. I'm a major needy Harry fic reader. I mean COME ON! What does Draco have aganst Harry's angst? ....That's right....Nothing! cool Those kind of fics make me want to cry.. And there are so many! Ah! I love naive/confused/hurt Harry in fics, too... He's always fit into the submissive half of that kind of relationship.

i am not fond of mary sues mad at all
and things with really bad plots
and people who swear they follow the harry
potter story line yet say stuff like harry is a prefect gonk
i like the facts in storys not things that people just pulled out of thier butts
and if it's a harry and malfoy fic...(which i have to say most suck)
there has to be lots of anst because you know those two aren't going to get together with out a lot of fighting
i also hate it when people are extremely out of character unless it is done for humor reason gonk occ
i have been reading fan fiction of all sorts for just under 9 years i know what i like and what i don't
stuff i like:
slash is good 4laugh
cannon stuff
reasonable book theories turned stories
some het. sexual stories
comedy
adventure (no one gets together)
anst
oc's that aren't destined to molest normal cast

Mary Sues are always so... UGH.
Either with Harry or Draco.
Always named some s**t like Star, Aurora, Ebony, etc.
And they suddenly transfer into Hogwarts, with all these messed up powers...

I hate it when the Character are out of character.
I don't like it when people make Harry go out with all these girls... I wans him to hook up with Malfoy... but, really that's just me.
I don't like it when Dumbeldore comes back and saves Harry in the nick 'o time
Really, just stuff like that.
