Which voices do you like/dislike?
Most of the other character's dubbed voices are done really well in my opinion.
However I personally dislike Kai's dubbed voice, David Reale, despite the fact most fans seem to like it.

I used to like Kai's voice, but then I saw what David Reale looked like, and I just couldn't get his image out of my head when Kai would talk. -.-;; I know that's really ignorant, but I do prefer his Japanese girly voice over his dubbed one.
Hm... I like Tyson's dubbed voice because he pronouces stuff funny. xP

Kai's dub is fine by my standards, okay well by my standards all of the Japanese normally sound to girly for the charaters even if it is a girl. Tyson's dub may have sounded funny because of an accent my fam. makes fun of the way I say southeren and northeren, and heck I'm from the south.

I love all of their voices, except Daichis' voice, I just think they should have got a deeper voice for him. I mean you get used to it, but just the way he looks seems to suggest that he should have had a deeper voice, to me anyway. my favorite voice over how ever I think would be....hmm, that's acctually quite hard to pin. I'll get back to you guys on that.

Yeah, I just jumped on in...but then, that's what forums are like, anyway...
So...voices. Hnn...
Personally, the original Japanese will always be my favorite (and I'm not saying this just because I can do Kai's Japanese voice!). The American dub...I'm not a huge fan of it - even though the it was the first one I got to watch. But it's all right; some lines from the American dub sound cooler than those from the same scene in the Japanese.
Speaking of David Reale...does anyone here know that he and Daniel DeSanto (Rei's voice actor) made appearances as minor characters in 'Mean Girls'? Poor David Reale; he gets slapped in the face at one point. All I know about DeSanto's part in the movie is that he plays Glen Cocoa (or however that's spelled); thing is, I forgot what his character looked like.
And speaking of dubs...has anyone here tried voicing over his or her favorite scene in Beyblade? Just curious...

How do ya do that? Do you just put the TV on mute and have closed caption on and talk with the charater? Well either way it sound interesting.

*shakes head* Nope. What I did was kind of complicated.
1. I got a blank tape, making sure I could record on it.
2. I found the scene for the only Kai 'monologue' I memorized (it's only three or four lines long) that I memorized.
3. I recorded my voice into the blank tape and rewound it.
4. Using the recording feature found in my home PC (which is now being used by my family seeing as I'm no longer at home), I recorded from the tape with my voice on it into the PC, then saved it.
5. Using Movie Maker, I spliced my voice recording and the clip together.
6. I adjusted the timing until it was just right, then I saved the file,
7. Just to check if I got it right, I did one final playback, which turned out all right.
Presto! Homemade dub! xd It was the Japanese version, though (I do a better Japanese than an American Kai)... See? Pretty complicated, huh? And the sad part is, I'm not sure if that particular clip can still be found on my PC; I've no idea what my dad or my sister have done to it since I left home... sad

I have a laptop because my dad needs the computer for work
so everyone stays away from it because I freak if they touch it xD

No, seriously, it'll be six more months before I can go home. And who knows what else could have happened to the PC? The scary part is, my sis told me that it almost crashed a few weeks ago and they had to delete some files.
Aww, man...I hope my dub wasn't one of them. Yeah, I could probably make another one, but that entails more than one problem: the blank tape I used is lost and I can't find my 'script' anymore, plus my stereo doesn't work anymore, and I don't have a microphone that can record directly to the PC... emo

Yeah, I hate that... especially when the characters weren't even supposed to be there in the first place (Dizzy, Brad Best and AJ Topper). stare
And I was able to get my hands on a 'Mean Girls' VCD (too cash-strapped to buy the DVD), and I was really paying attention to the voices and stuff - there are some actors who either can't change their voices regardless of which character they're playing, or who have a certain tone one can identify right away - and when I got to the part with Cady's first day...
eek I found Daniel DeSanto... He's the dude who goes up to Cady and does the whole "Is your muffin buttered?" thing... Man... I was hearing REI say that, for crying out loud. gonk
And does anyone here know the song 'Because of You' by NeYo? I swear, his voice sounds almost like the guy who dubbed Yuriy (Jonathan Potts)! O_o
