Well by today's standards they aren't really "metal" bands but hey, skill rocked hard and kicked a**. This thread is for bands like Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, Poison, Whitesnake, Motley Crue, RATT, W.A.S.P. The Scorpions, Van Halen, Skid Row, Warrant, Alice Cooper Band, etc.

My brother grew up in the Glam 80's and he freaking loved all those bands especially Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Guns n' Roses, The Scorpions, Van Halen, Twisted Sister. And cause of him I love those bands too.

I grew up listening 2 all those bands cuz my dad's a metalhead. I've grown to love metal ever since the day i was born i guess. whee

i like twisted sister,alice cooper,kiss,and g n r but thats realy it. ibut motley has a few good songs

Personally love Skid Row because of Sebastian Bach's freaking vocals. I worship that man cause even now he wears leather and make up on stage. A true Metal GOD.

Glam died when Grunge took over. So basically you got bands like Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Nirvana to blame. Guns n' Roses stuck around after the fall of Glam but they weren't really Glam metal. And Warrant was a failed Glam Metal band but had some kick a** songs.

I grew up listening to those bands...amoung others. I tried to lie to myself and look down on them, but who am I kidding? I like the Hairbands....

I could never look down on any band mainly because they have the heart and guts to expose themselves and write music meaningful to them not to the intended audience.

Positively ADORE all Hair metal. I grew up on that s**t. But, I'm also a big fan of Grunge, so I can't go smiting Nirvana and Alice In Chains for the death of Glam Metal.

Yeah there arnt many people that listen to glam metal anymore. But if it weren't for us, glam metal would truly be dead. Let's keep it alive people.
