Tired of following eveyone else's rules?
Time to Make Your Own Game!
And here's how you can do it in a few easy steps.
--This is the most important. You need to BE ORIGINAL. Think up something that nobody else has done before. Don't just copy someone else's idea. Where's the fun in that?
--Next, PLAN IT WELL. Be sure you know what you're doing. If you're just winging it it's very confusing and it frustrates people who are playing.
--While making your thread, keep it ORGANIZED. Make it so that people can find what they're looking for weather it be rules, slots, or the introduction. Don't just cram it all into one paragraph. Colors are nice too.
--DON'T MAKE RIDICULOUS PRIZES. If you're just starting on Gaia don't make unrealistic prizes like a Devil's Tail or something. Even if you're using the ticket money to buy the prize, it's just not fair. Keep prizes believable. A general rule of thumb could be that you should have at least half the prize mentioned at the start of the lotto.
--Also, YOUR PROFIT CANNOT EXCEED YOUR PRIZE. If you were making 100k from ticket money, your prize must be AT LEAST 75% of the ticket money, which is 75k. It's unfair if you make more money than the winner. The point of this forum is to have fun and take chances. Not to make a big profit with a scam.
--Finally, you MAY NOT ENTER YOUR LOTTO. Sorry, but it's another protection against cheating. Besides, if you enter your own contest and win people WILL dislike you. They WILL think you cheated. It's just a fact of life.
And that's all! See, that was painless, right? Now go ahead and make the best contest ever!
