The Plot!

Also known as our Storyline, this is where we'll do our best to post regular updates to the plot as we continue RPing.

Enjoy!

Our storyline summarized loosely from the beginning to to-day. Enjoy, and thank you, Kemi, for the update! It is unimaginably appreciated.

Akemi Akiko
First off, as you might have noticed, Aerith, Zack, and Sephiroth are alive again. Due to a mishap in a lab.

There was an incident of fake Dark Materia cooked up by our merry band, and Kilik was charged with using it as a decoy for Sephiroth and Valame, while the actual materia was more or less destroyed. Sephiroth and Valame manage to get their hands on the decoy after “killing” Kilik and realize it's a fake. Valame however get into an argument because Valame wanted to use it. Kilik comes back to life and kills Sephiroth during the course of the argument.

Now let us see... Reeve has been plotting the downfall of Shin-Ra for the past few months, and ulitmately the overthrowing of Rufus. To that end, he managed to gain an accomplice of sorts in the lovely, talented Kilik. Or so he views her. I still think he kind of has a thing for her...we'll see. Anyway. With her agreement to help him in this task, Kilik managed to be responsible for a mental/emotional breakdown. Partly to help Reeve, but mostly for her own motives. After which, she takes off on her own.

As a result, Tseng had to assume temporary control over Shin-Ra while attempting to get Rufus stable enough to resume his mantel of leadership. Before he can actually get around to it, however, Reeve kidnaps Tseng and hauls him off to basically have him all to himself and also very delicately try to swing him around to his line of thinking. Because Reeve's ultimate goal is to covert Shin-Ra into something else that is more...environment/public friendly.

After kidnapping Tseng, Reeve goes to menace those members of Avalanche and Turks holed up in Elmyra's household, and suggests a 'trade.' Basically, he wants to be allowed to kill Rufus in exchange for Tseng. Once he's denied, he is followed, more or less, in a rather unsuccessful attempt to just /steal/ Tseng back.

Again, he originally wanted to kill Rufus to achieve that end, but does not, because Tseng falls ill shortly after, and so Reeve instead finds himself nursing him back to health, and is therefore unable to carry out his plan.

Kilik comes back to Elmyra’s household to torment Rufus some more. The two get into an altercation twice, and Rufus is wounded both times—the second wound a great deal more fateful than the first. Kilik disappears once again after having a note given to Marlene, because she apparently dotes on the child. The rest of the Turks are still holed up in the household and do what they can to tend to Rufus.

At some point Reeve tells Tseng that he is more or less in love with the man…and the feelings aren’t mutual at first. But the two grow closer over the course of Tseng’s recovery.

Kadaj and his siblings are also brought back to life, and Kadaj, at least, has been embraced by Aerith and her family and is currently staying with them after she found him in the church.

No idea where the siblings are yet—Yazoo and Loz are not yet in play. Tseng is on his way back “home” more or less, only so far, Suji, your character is the only one to have spoken with him recently.

Reeve is being emo about it, and won’t be coming back. But he will start to take over Shin-Ra. Bit by bit. Just. You. Wait.

Storyline Update

An as of yet unknown entity has taken up an inexplicable vendetta against the Turks. The first among their number to take the brunt of the brutality was Rude, who was discovered by Arina and brought back to Elmyra's house to recover. Afterwards, Arina set off on her own on the pretense of needing to restock her personal store of healing supplies. Shortly after her departure, Mirage leaves to try to find any information she can by way of the only "clue" they have--silver hairs.

She does manage to wrest rather unhelpful information as to the location of the assailants and later stumbles across the base camp where several classified documents belonging to Shin-Ra detailing the personnel, floor plans, and a rather such things are discovered, ultimately plotting the eventually murder of those associated with Shin-Ra. Before she can leave with the findings, the door is shut and locked behind her.

Meanwhile, Elena has returned from Shin-Ra headquarters back into Midgar and experiences car troubles. While attempting to fix the car, she is confronted by Yazoo, who demands to know where Kadaj is and threatens her life if she doesn't agree to cooperate. Elena manages to buy some time, during which Arina comes to her aid. However, they are joined shortly afterwards by Loz, and the four of them get into a confrontation, whereby the two siblings hope to extract information as to their brother's whereabouts.

The confrontation ends with both women, Elena and Arina becoming injured. Yazoo and Loz decide to take the two women as hostages/bargin chips and decide to go to Shin-Ra, unware that the building has been more or less abandoned. However, the two quickly become confused and lost as to their whereabouts and are unable to find the building.

Mirage has managed to escape the building she was locked in by causing the skylight to fall in, and has returned to Elmyra's house with the stolen files and has determined that she will remain silent about her findings at the moment.

Frustrated with their lack of success in finding Shin-Ra, Loz and Yazoo are distracted by the faint presence of Kadaj, the very same person they've been looking for. The pull leads them to the church and the site of the resurection of Kadaj. They are disppointed to discover that he is not, in fact, there, but determine to wait there with their hostages until his return.

Elena and Arina have begun to come around, and are only just becoming aware of their surroundings and the full measure of the rather dire straits they find themselves in. They begin to talk among themselves as the brothers are preoccupied with the church.

Mirage has finally revealed the discovered files she recovered under duress from questioning from both the efforts of Reno and Rude. She has determined to set off on her own to lure the assailants out of hiding but is met with objection from Rude, who would rather address the matter to Rufus. Mirage is of the opinion that they don't have time, and would rather Reno and Rude simply remove the Turks back into Shin-Ra for the time being.

She ends the semi-argument on the pretense of letting the matter drop, although she herself has no intention of changing her mind. However, she takes off again to discover whether there might been Turks that are still not accounted for. In the process, she discovers the site of the encounter between the two brothers and Elena and Arina. She locates the two of them by way of the GPS unit within her own phone and tracing the signal given off by Elena's phone.

She arrives at the church shortly after, prepared to collect the two missing Turks back from Loz and Yazoo. Which she manages to accomplish by more or less switching places with the two women after escorting them back to Elmyra's house. The deal between Loz, Yazoo, and Mirage being that she'll get their brother back for him, considering how she is well aware where he is.

Meanwhile, Reeve has escorted Tseng back to Midgar while he himself has chosen to remain behind.

Events in Midgar:

Shin-Ra ceases to be. In a joint decision arranged by both Rufus and Tseng, they have declared the company defunct and have disbanded. The decision was met with overall protest and animosity on the part of the Turks, but the decision remains irrevocable. Rufus has left the house and has disappeared, and Tseng has also gone his separate ways.

Tseng left the house with Arina, who is determined to locate Vincent Valentine. Tseng has agreed to help her with the task, and while the two are wandering Midgar, discussing the recent events and their plan of action, Reeve inadvertently bumps into them. He quickly realizes that Shin-Ra has fallen, and out of an act of compassion offers to do what he can to help.

Tseng instructs him to reunite the Turks under a new banner in two day's time, and to construct a company of his own that will be of aid to the planet. If he is able to do so, Tseng offers his loyalty and support. Part of the scheme is in accordance with the desires of Arina, who wants to bring the Turks back together and restore them to their former glory.

Reeve agrees to do so, and he and Elena, who will be helping in him his goal of relocating the individual Turks, head off to a local Inn for the night.

Mirage, Reno, and Rude have meanwhile are licking their wounds in a bar and contemplating their next move.

Arina and Tseng have returned to headquarters to resupply, and once they have done so, Arina encounters Vincent and engages him in conversation. However, Vincent seems rather disinterested in speaking to her, and Arina becomes frustrated to the point of leaving.

Just as she prepares to do so, however, one of her limit breaks seizes control of her actions and coerces her into following the retreating Vincent Valentine.

Elsewhere:

Loz and Yazoo have been instructed by Kilik to rid Nibelheim of remnants. While they set about this task, they encounter Yuna, who travels to the home of her adopted parents, having been fired by Rufus Shin-Ra a few hours before due to her associations with Kilik.

She more or less manages to get satisfy their curiosity as to what she is doing there, and she continues on. Shortly thereafter, she encounters Cloud. She informs him that she has seen the two brothers, and Cloud takes off rather abruptly after hearing this information. She arrives at her former home and after her visitation with her family, returns to Midgar, and apparently makes arrangements to secure a job in a restaurant with some acquaintances of hers. After which, she decides to go speak with Kilik.

Cloud later encounters Yazoo and Loz and questions them as to why they are killing the remnants of the town. The two brothers cut him short as he attempts to leave and send not only the beasts they control after him, but pursue Cloud himself on their own bikes as he attempts to leave the town.

Yazoo and Loz, while previously chasing Cloud on their way from Nibelheim suddenly felt the call of Kilik and detracted from their pursuit of Cloud. Instead, they headed directly towards Kilik who was still residing in the midst of the ruins of Midgar. Kilik had just previously finished talking to Yuna, and now Yuna left Kilik to go dig up some files on the history between Kilik and Rufus in the Shin-Ra HQ, stumbling also across some documents that revealed the true nature of her parents. However, as she was about to depart, Loz and Yazoo appeared saying that Kilik had told them to teach Yuna how to play with them appropriately. Yuna, Loz, and Yazoo therefore ended up practicing their fighting skills in the Shin-Ra HQ's training facilities, and once finished, departed from there to head back to Kilik once more.

Cloud, while puzzled by the disappearance of Yazoo and Loz, shrugged it off and decided to return to 7th Heaven in Midgar where he is currently chatting with Denzel who suggests that they go visit Aerith. Cloud agrees and they prepare to go pay the Cetra a visit soon.

Eventually Arina persuades Vincent Valentine to come with her, and the two return to Tseng, who drives them to the hotel where Reeve and Elena were staying in wait for them. They meet up, discuss a bit, and as Reeve, Elena and Tseng go to bed, Arina rushes out of the hotel without telling the others, intent on going back to Aerith's house to retrieve the medicine she needed to get better after the beating she had taken recently. Vincent Valentine insists on coming with her since she can't make it there on her own and the two end up at Aerith's house together, where they are greeted by Aerith, Elmyra and Marlene.

Reno by now left the bar for some fresh air, but in the meanwhile caught sight of someone he had known years ago, a woman named Touscon. However, Touscon seemed not to remember him, and fled from him with a smaller girl named Midori. They both acted very strange, but Reno chased them, determined not to let Touscon go before he got some answers from her. He chased them to Junon, where they raced inside a bar, followed by Reno, who found that the two had disappeared apparently into thin air. He set up a watch for them and prepared to wait. In fact, the two females were Ravens from the original group AVALANCHE which was headquartered in Cosmo Canyon, quite a different group than Cloud's AVALANCHE. Below the bar they disappeared into was their secondary headquarters and base of operations.

Eventually, so as to lead Reno away from the location of their HQ, the Raven Midori lead Reno on a wild goose chase and got him captured by the Junon police when she fooled them into believing that Reno had been molesting her, on top of other charges. Reno was taken into custody and called Tseng to help bail him out.

By this time, Tseng awakens in the early morning and goes to check on Elena. Finding her awake she gives him an idea without realizing it and he departs from the hotel, taking her with him, and returns to the Shin-Ra HQ to start making calls that would help him found a new corporation, the World Regenesis Organization. In the process, he receives the phone call from Reno and calls Arina to have her go bail Reno out, but she doesn't pick up the phone. Tseng decides to call Cid Highwind and try to enlist his aid in the founding of the WRO.

Midori meanwhile, pretending to have been waiting for her mother, is taken to Wall Market by the helpful Junon police officers, where she searches on her own for a ride back to Junon after deserting them. In her search she comes across Aerith's house and attempts to steal Arina's motorcycle, only to be discovered by Elmyra who invites her in. Midori, not being able to get out without help, calls in Touscon to cause a distraction during which she can escape and return to headquarters.

Touscon receives the message and disobeys orders not to leave the Junon heaquarters, going Aerith's house and shoots a barrage of arrows in through the window of the home, one of the arrows hitting Marlene in the shoulder. Touscon flees as chaos ensues, and Vincent leaves the house to chase down the attacker, but Touscon escapes.

During this time, Aerith and Arina heal and comfort Marlene, but then Arina notices her missed phone calls and heads off, promising to come back soon, and goes to Junon to bail Reno out.

Midori in the meanwhile flees the house and returns back to the HQ in Junon where she is greeted with the arrival of another Raven (Deuce) and two of the AVALANCHERs sent over from Cosmo Canyon, a woman named Rikk and a teenage girl named Setra.

Deuce then takes another male Raven (Ulf) out for a mission to capture Arina and the Turk Reno. The two successfully track down the two of them, engage them in battle, and are able to capture them, taking them back to their underground HQ in Junon and putting them in holding cells.

Rufus, without the knowledge of anyone, has retreated back to his old place in Healin Lodge, where he is paid an unexpected visit by Kilik. However, she does not remain long and bids him a tender farewell. But Rufus finds company when a feline whom he believes to be Dark Nation wanders into his room and remains at his side.

Rude and Mirage remain unaccounted for.

Vincent Valentine eventually returns to Aerith's house and is surprised by the absence of Arina, but does not say anything.

Touscon, on her way back to the headquarters after losing Vincent Valentine, encounters the Turk Louis and fights him, leaving him unconscious and badly wounded, but alive. She takes his car and heads back towards the HQ in Junon.

Kadaj in the meanwhile departed from Aerith's house during all the chaos that had happned to Marlene and sought out an abandoned Shin-Ra laboratory hidden Midgar. There he found an extra set of his old attire, and his weapon, Souba. Upon donning his familiar get-up, he left the laboratory and is now on his way back to Aerith's house at his own leisure.

Kilik remains in the midst of Midgar, building herself something of a home in the ruins of a destroyed high-rise building.

Because of OOC events, the timeline here will update everyone on what's going on...ICly.

After the trio, being Rude, Reno and Mirage, left the bar after "licking their wounds", Mirage disappears for several months. Reno and Rude have no idea of her whereabouts, or anyone else for that matter.

The duo, doing miscellaneous things during those several months, are back in a bar in Midgar. They leave and Reno catches sight of Touscon and chases after her. Rude lets Reno do whatever he pleases and heads off to a hotel, silently irritated with Reno's behavior.

+Midori, Arina and Reno plot from above post goes here+

Reno and Arina have been inside the underground AVALANCHE base for roughly two weeks, getting occasional visits from Rikk with casual conversation. They receive horrific news of what awaits them in Cosmo Canyon, but the ever-calm Reno keeps his cool.

After two weeks of hearing no word from Reno, Rude heads off to Junon in search of his partner after listening to a voicemail from when Reno had been arrested. He tossed his old phone and bought a new one, feeling as though the old one was a "bad omen". He currently resides in Junon, searching for the redhead.

Meanwhile, Setra, Ulf and Ai have headed to Midgar to search out a new base. The sun has just gone down and now the only lights are from the city streets of Midgar.

Updated on June 26th, 2010

From where we last left off, a great many things have come to pass.

Reno, Arina, Touscon, LR-002, Deuce, Damien
The captivity of Reno and Arina by the Old Avalanche group with the aid of the Ravens went steadily from bad to worse. Before any true leads could be made by the Turks, an executive decision by Avalanche's Second in Command, Cruze, ordered that Reno and Arina be immediately brought over to Cosmo Canyon. In addition to this, the Raven Touscon was ordered back on terms of failure to obey orders--a death sentence for Ravens. However, due to the questionable situation those orders had been broken in (during the saving of Midori and attacking of Marlene at Elmyra's house), the death of Touscon was held off. Instead, she was to return to Cosmo Canyon for the humiliating process of undergoing the re-Ravenization procedures. Therefore, that very day--two weeks after their capture--Arina, Reno, Touscon and Deuce returned to Cosmo Canyon.

Once there, things only continued to get worse. Deuce went back to working under the orders of Cruze, and Touscon underwent the re-Ravenization process. However the plan was failing as, unbenownst to her Masters, Touscon was regaining more and more of her memories and human emotions. At the same time, Reno and Arina were separated. Reno underwent weeks of brutal torture and exercises to transform him into a Raven against his will and at the end of a month the process was almost complete. Arina in the meanwhile was responding favorably to the brainwashing process as well and turned out to be a better test subject than Reno.

To further speed the Ravenization of both the Turks, different decisions were made. Arina would begin to work and train with another experiment being run solely by a scientist named Trellon under Hojo's direct supervision. The project's experiment was dubbed LR-002, a woman with apparently no knowledge of the outside world whose purpose and powers were currently unknown. Reno, in the meantime, would be sent out with a pack of Ravens on final test to break him into their midst and finalize his brainwashing. In addition to four new Ravens, Touscon was also said to go with him as she seemed a unique catalyst to his growth as a Raven.

However, both of these plans were soon skewed. After Trellon was able to successfully speed the progress of LR-002 and Arina's experiments, they were permitted a chance to be rewarded with a trip above ground, outside of the Avalanche facilities. Though carefully watched, the two women wandered into public view of the townspeople of Cosmo Canyon and were swiftly removed with subsequent punishment for wandering too far. In the case of Reno and Touscon, they were left alone with the Raven pack just near Costa del Sol under simple orders to trek from their current location back to the Avalanche HQ in Cosmo Canyon, unseen and in under three days. Undergoing the usual rites of Ravens introduced to new pack members, things seem to be moving along smoothly one day into their trek back. However, in silence, Touscon plots the murder of the Raven pack's other four members in an attempt to free Reno, even though she is clearly at a drastic disadvantage.

Unknown to the Raven pack, a member of Avalanche named Damien has been ordered out into the field to keep the pack under surveillance during the field test. He is currently on site and about to pick up on their trail.

Tseng, Rude, Tifa, Mirage, Yuffie, Denzel, Elena, Delilah
During the last two months since Reno and Arina's kidnapping, things at the WRO could not have been busier. Soon as word of the missing Turks reached Tseng's ear, people were dispatched--amongst them Elena and Rude--to aid in search efforts wherever the WRO had dealings. Thankfully teams had already spread out over western and eastern continents in an effort under Tseng's guidance to shut down and strip the Planet of ShinRa's mako reactors. Borrowing from these forces, efforts were made but few leads found up until Rude stumbled upon a figure in Junon that had been missing for over two years from their ranks: Tifa Lockheart.

It had been years prior that the woman had fallen out of touch with her Avalanche companions and joined the Turks. But after the ordeal with the Black Materia, she had been sent off on another mission and then fell off the map. Now she looked completely different and though Rude identified her, he was shocked when the woman seemed not to recognize him. Soon the reason became clear: amnesia. Rude was able to convince Tifa to leave Junon and headed to the WRO with her, where Tseng provided her with a file on all her personal information from before and during her time as a Turk. Hoping to find more out about her forgotten past, Tifa left the WRO on her own to search out first Seventh Heaven and then made her way to Elmyra's house. However, before leaving, she left Tseng and Rude with a tip that two people dressed like the Turks had been seen being taken onto a boat heading for Costa del Sol.

In the meantime, Rude received a call from Mirage, who had shown up in town only recently after a long absence. Still bearing an elusive air, Mirage made plans to meet with Rude and catch up on what had happened during the time she'd been gone. When they met, Rude revealed the capture of Reno which particularly upset Mirage. Leaving Rude with a couple of companions she had apparently been working with, she made her way to see Tseng herself and demanded answers as to what had happened. Tseng was able to offer her little information beyond what he had just learned. However, before further things could be discussed, Yuna returned to pay a surprise visit to Tseng and spoke to him about the information she had found out about her parents. Tseng did not deny the fact that Yuna's father and mother had once been enemies of ShinRa and were jailed. However he encouraged her to keep searching out the truth on her own, stating that ShinRa was infamous for its coverups and false information.

Before anything could be done with either of the women present, a loud ruckus being caused in the hallway soon turned into a door being thrown open to reveal the surprising figure of Yuffie in the doorway, with young Denzel soon on her heels. Attempting to placate the energetic Wutain princess, Tseng led her from the room and into an adjacent conference room where they could discuss whatever the "important" thing was she wanted to speak to him about. Before he could settle directly to handle this additional situation, Elena came up to him in the hallway and passed off some documents. Even though she was clearly overworked, Tseng asked a favor of her and gave her the task of going to Costa del Sol with Yuna in an attempt to follow up on the newest lead they had gotten. Elena found Yuna just about to leave the WRO and after explaining the situation to her, they both left immediately. Tseng for his part finally went into the room to speak to Yuffie, but before either could start his phone rang, the impatient caller one of the WRO volunteers that had been searching the Cosmo Canyon area, Delilah. What would the news be now?
