Definately in the beginning he was a very whiney brat. razz Then he became emo. Then finally he grew up! ^__^
Sometimes it's nice to have a protagonist that isn't like all the other ones. They're all strong and standoffish and brave stuff like that, while Renton's a whiney brat who can't do anything right for over half the show. A real person, I guess you could say. razz

Truthfully,at first I despised Renton and found him totally annoying but I'm glad he got better after his 'emo' stage.

Anyway, in the beginning, I wanted to choke him so bad that his family would die. However, I really never thought that. He was whiney though. I'm basically agreeing with this person of whom I am quoting right now.
