Hi people.
Well latley ALOT of people around where I live started to use shrink, they're all shrink crazy >.< But personally I prefer Riryoku.
Riryoku; (spell card)
Halve the ATK of 1 face-up monster and add the same amount to the ATK of another face-up monster, until the end of this turn.
Shrink: (Quick-play spell card)
Select 1 face-up monster on the field. The original ATK of that monster is halved until the end of this turn.
A small question as well, if you use shrink during your opponents battle phase, he is aloud to redirect that attack or not attack at all right?
(Somewhat unsure on that).
Why I prefer Riryoku? Well if you use it right it can do alot more damage then shrink and I guess... well thats why :p
well, riryoku is powerful, but it's downside is that it's a normal spell. The benefit of Shrink is that it can be used during either you or your opponent's turn. Since it can alter stat values, it can be used during the damage step and make a strong monster like a monarch die at the hands of a monster like mystic tomato unless your opponent can react with a stat alterer of their own or a counter trap.
