Can we get an English translation of that, please? The only part of that I understand was "nacht" which I believe means "night." Some other people might not understand it either.

I'm learning German and yes nacht means night. I also did a little research and April 30, 2007 is the 41st anneversary of the founding of the Church of Satan.

Oh Yeah in the Satanic Bible it mentioned how Lavey announced the forming of the church on May Eve.

Walpurgisnacht merely means Walpurgis Night. It was a festival named after Saint Walpurga. It's usually celebrated by Pagans and the like. Dr. LaVey founded the Church of Satan during Walpurgisnacht, as well. Basically, Walpurgisnacht is a period of time for fertilization and the renewal of one's spirit. Indulgence is at its peak.

Hell yes. I missed the last one, as my understanding of Satanism and actually knowledge of its existance is relatively recent. Can't wait for the 42nd one.
But I was under the impression that it actually meant Witches Night in German, or something along those lines.

Well, technically it is. Walpurgis is just the original name. Though, it was on that same day that witches would congregate at Brocken Mountain to work their craft. I'm looking forward to the festival, as well.

I wish I could see a Brocken Spectre. That would be pretty cool. I should travel to Germany some time, or whatever country has Brocken in it.

Uh. Brocken Mountain you mean. It's in Germany, yes. You'd have to be there at the right time to see it clearly. You can't just get there and expect to see it. Besides, it only happens rarely. It's not a common sight.
Lol. If you MUST use Google or Wikipedia, at least get the info. right. wink
