When your buying Industrial strength body jewelry. I picked up my special order today from the shop. A 14G Blurple titanium, Double AB gemmed navel curve, and a 2mm Teal opal gemmed end for my lip piercing. All internally threaded and top of the line. As the title might reveal, i spent $78 on these 2 pieces (Which is incredibly cheap for industrial strength stuff)
The pictures don't do the pieces much justice. There much more beautiful in person.

Good jewelry is expensive, But the way I look at it, everything is made of top grade titanium, All the gems are bezel set, so there not going to fall out, and overall, the pieces are going to last longer, and be better for the piercing. I think of it as an investment.

titanium is pricey i have surgical grade titanium, which is a step up from that stuff, to be honest, and for my surgery, cause of it, i think the bar had to be at least $5000

Indeed. Titanium is expensive, but it's also the metal with little to no nickel content, So it's better for you. And, it can be anodized into a wide array of colors..

I've spend $90 on one pair of Buffalo horn earrings. Each lip ring I have cost $50. I've also have a $10 lip ring. You can really tell the difference. Haha. So I think it's great to spend the money if you have it to get great quality stuff. Just don't let the parlours triple the price for their own profit and swindle ya. xd

Sterling silver has a high nickel content, and shouldn't be used in piercings. Your going to have a hell of a time trying to find a piece of body jewelry made from sterling silver, because no manufacturer (to my knowledge) makes jewelry from nothing other than stainless steel and titanium.

You can buy kinda like a small spool of "wire" and cut it to length, thread some ends onto it, and you have a custom made piece of jewelry.

Ghoulish Reminders I think you've got more money than sense. I'm really glad I'm friends with my pericer and she charges me wholesale price for jewlery. Im good friends with my piercer too, but realize that the studio has to make a profit of some sort off the jewelry. Shipping charges are a bit on the expensive side. The piece had a wholesale price of $40 on it, so spending $60 on something that should have been more than $120 isn't bad. Good jewelry isn't cheap, and not all of us have the luxury of being able to pay wholesale prices, So im sorry if you think I have more money than brains.

I can't believe there is jewerly that exists that costs that much. I just like functional jewerly, I guess. I would never pay over 25 bucks for jewerly of any sorts, but maybe that's because I'm a cheapskate. I dunno, it's your money, and obviously you can do what you please with it. I wish I had that much money to throw into the wind.
